Job Summary
Combination of Maintenance & Custodial Work

Manages the operational functions of the facility including planning and projects; collaborates with administration to develop custodial work schedules and duties for direction with staff; effectively and expeditiously complete repairs in accordance with school policy and sound maintenance practices; conducts routine inspections of school facilities; submits requisition requests for needed maintenance supplies; prepares bids and quotes for maintenance and contracted services to submit to Administration; provides in-service training for maintenance/custodial personnel on new equipment and work methods; monitors the maintenance request online forms to maintain a priority list of building renovation and maintenance needs, ensures building and grounds is safe for daily use; responsible for cleaning in all areas of the building including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, wiping and emptying trash utilizing appropriate equipment, and supplies as an active member of the custodial team, arranges for custodial staff absence coverage and assists the other custodians in completing duties when a substitute is not found.

We are located in a school building and provide quality care in an enriching learning environment. We are committed to our staff and offer multiple training opportunities throughout the year including required coursework for assistant teacher and lead teacher status. Pay starts at $13/hr and is based on experience and classes taken.
