🏃‍♀️💙 CONFERENCE MEET RECAP 💙🏃‍♀️

Our girls finished 4th out of 10 schools at the conference meet, and we could not be more proud. We competed without one of our top three runners, Ruthie Baker, who sat out with an ankle injury. We know she’ll be back and ready to go for Sectionals! 💪

What made today especially meaningful was watching this team continue to show and have grit!

👏 Ellie Guy — Finished strong, just 6 seconds off her PR

💪 Anna Roeske — Season PR — and she’s BACK!

Someday, the times and places from these meets will fade. But the impact these seniors have had on this team will stay.

They have helped build a team that is bigger, stronger, and more connected. They have shown their teammates that success isn't just about being the fastest runner—it's about showing up, lifting others up, and leaving the team better than you found it.

And we aren't finished yet. 💙

Conference is in the books. Sectionals are next.
We are looking forward to spending time together each day of practice and keep pushing!

Pasta and Painting party was a positive team experience! 40+Junior high and high school girls who were very hungry! The girls had fun together and showed their creativity by painting a positive quote/ word or bible verse! We are thankful for all the parents who made food and thankful for the memories!

🏃‍♀️❤️ Culver Invitational — More Than Just a Race! ❤️
What a BEAUTIFUL day to run by the Culver Academy Lake! ☀️🌊

Our Varsity girls finished 7th out of 35 schools in the Small School Invitational, but the finish place only tells part of the story. The real victory was watching these girls compete, encourage each other, push through adversity, and show what it means to be a TEAM. 💪❤️

These girls came at 6 AM, bringing great attitudes from the very beginning. They cheered, encouraged, helped with setup, helped clean up, and looked for ways to serve their teammates.

And I have to give a special shoutout to my senior group.❤️(Mia,Brystalin,Lilly,Isabella,Laney,Grace)

Our seniors continue to lead by example, both in practices and at meets. They push themselves, push their teammates, and continue to show what leadership looks like through the little things that often go unnoticed.

It’s checking on a teammate who is struggling.
It’s asking, “Coach, what do you need?”
It’s taking initiative to organize tent cleanup after a meet.
It’s making sure everyone feels included.
It’s showing up every day ready to work.

Those small acts of leadership are what build a team—and I couldn’t be prouder of the example our seniors are setting for the girls coming behind them. ❤️

Character, grit, positivity, leadership, and the way you treat your teammates—those are the things that matter most.

So proud of this team today. Keep showing up. Keep pushing. Keep cheering. Keep choosing positivity. Makes me tear up as I text this as there are only a few weeks left of the season, so we need to enjoy each day! ❤️- Coach Rush
