I'm looking to possibly teach a National Safety Council Adult/Pediatric AED-CPR-1st Aid Class on February 19th at the Hamden Town Hall, Hamden NY. Cost would be $50 (Cash, Money Order, Credit/Debit Card). Certification is good for 2 years. This class can only have a max of 10 students and I have 4-5 already interested. If you'd like to take this class, you MUST contact me before the day of the class!!! Class will run from 8 am to approx. 1 pm or 1:30 pm, depending on breaks taken.

Great news everyone!!
I've become certified and affiliated with the National Safety Council to teach both of their "layperson" CPR/AED/1st Aid and their "BLS for Healthcare and Professional Rescuers" CPR/AED/1st Aid courses.
This is in addition to all the courses I teach for ASHI/HSI.

The Delhi Village Police Department hosted an Instructor Development Class, Jan. 6 through January 14th 2020 at the Delaware County Public Safety Building in Delhi. Law enforcement officers completing this training became NYS Certified Police Instructors.

Agencies attending: Delhi Police, Delaware County Sheriff, Nassau County Sheriff, Saratoga County Sheriff, Seagate Police, NYC Probation and University Police at SUNY Fredonia.

Thankfully, Texas changed their laws so that concealed carry in places of worship is legal.

This is a partial quote from an MSN article:

"It's legal to carry guns into Texas churches
The two people who returned fire against the shooter were members of the church and part of the church's security team, but were not hired by the church, Regional Director of Texas Department of Public Safety Jeoff Williams told reporters Sunday night.

"The citizens who were inside that church undoubtedly saved 242 other parishioners," Williams said.

Texas recently changed its fi****ms laws in response to the 2017 Sutherland Springs church shooting that left 26 people dead.

Lt. Gov. Patrick said the state now allows licensed handgun owners to legally carry weapons into places of worship. Another law allows churches to develop, train and plan for their own teams to provide security."

At least one victim was killed and several injured when a gunman opened fire inside a church on Sunday morning before he was shot to death by two armed paris...
