‼️ Technology & social media…

13 is the general minimum age for most mainstream social media platforms in the U.S. For example, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok generally require users to be at least 13.

The reason you hear 13 so often is largely tied to the federal COPPA privacy law. COPPA places special requirements on online services that collect personal information from children under 13, which led many general-audience platforms to set 13 as their minimum age.

There is something so special about seeing our hallways filled with families, welcoming you into classrooms, and sharing a little glimpse into the places where your children learn, grow, laugh, take risks, and make memories each and every day.

Last night was such a beautiful reminder that Stanley is so much more than a school…it’s truly a community.

We are incredibly grateful to our teachers and staff who put so much care into preparing for the evening, and to all of our families who took the time to join us. Your partnership, support, and trust mean more than you know, and they play such an important part in making Stanley the special place it is. We are also grateful for those community members who came and set up resource tables.

Thank you for another wonderful Back to School night, and for starting another school year alongside us. Here’s to a year filled with learning, connection, joy, and so many moments worth celebrating! ✨💚

Today we surprised our students with Stanley’s very first Surprise Attendance Day! ⭐️

No announcements. No countdown. No hints.

Our Stallions simply came to school like any other day… and discovered that TODAY was the day! 🎉

We had so much fun celebrating the students who were here…learning, connecting, and making our school a better place just by showing up. 💚

And now that they know Surprise Attendance Days are a thing at Stanley…the only question is: when will the next one be? 👀 Because at Stanley, every day counts — and you never know which day might come with a little extra surprise! 🐴✨

We hope everyone had a great long weekend! It’s been a very busy, but very positive start to the new school year! We are still working through some transportation issues with the vans and buses, but we are getting there! 🚌

Thanks to all who both attended and volunteered at the first PTO event of the year — the Ice Cream Bonanza Social this past Thursday evening. 🍦🍨

A reminder that this Wednesday, 9/23, is also our first early release day, with a 12:45 vans / 1:00 buses & walkers dismissal! Please plan accordingly.

We are so excited about these new communication boards created by one of our amazing Stanley staff members — shout out to Kathleen Marucci!

These boards, both in English and Spanish, give students another way to communicate, connect, play, and advocate for what they need during recess — because communication should never stop at the classroom door.

Little additions can make a BIG difference in belonging. 💚
