Only at Brandeis, only this year: You’re invited to study with top Brandeis professors and distinguished guest speakers.

“America and its Jews at 250” examines the history and development of Jewish life in the United States from the colonial period to the present. Moving chronologically, you will explore questions of belonging and antisemitism, culture and religion, Israel and migration.

At the same time as Brandeis undergraduates are taking this course in the classroom, BNC members and other friends of Brandeis are invited to participate in their own online study group, led by course faculty. Watch the recorded classroom lecture ahead of time at your own speed, and join the professor online the following week.

Discussions are on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. EST

For Dorothy "Dot" Richards, P'83, the Brandeis National Committee was more than a volunteer organization. It was a way to support a university whose values reflected her own. That connection would eventually inspire her daughter, Karen Richards Sachs '83, and help lay the foundation for the largest single alumni gift in Brandeis University history.

Bruce Litwer was a great friend to Brandeis. May his memory be a blessing.

Brandeis would like to remember Bruce Litwer ’61 (1940-2026) with gratitude for his decades of dedication to the university, which included:

• Serving as president of the Brandeis Alumni Association from 1991 to 1995 and as a longtime member of the Alumni Board
• Being a frequent class Reunion chair
• Serving as a member of the Alumni Club of South Florida and BNC South Miami-Dade Chapter
• Serving on the BNC Board of Directors
• Supporting Brandeis as a generous donor alongside his wife, the late Vicki Litwer, who is pictured below
