🐶 Our shelter is hiring a PART-TIME kennel position! Duties include cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, multitasking in controlled chaos! It’s hard work, messy work, and incredibly rewarding work.

Must not mind barking soundtracks or glitter-level dog hair that follows you home forever. No experience necessary but must be able to lift 50 pounds, and be able to work holidays and weekends.

We're hiring a Marine Science Educator!
This employee will be responsible for conducting educational programs for K-12 students and the general public at the Marine Resources Center, in the ACE Basin and at other Department facilities.

Job Duties and Requirements:

Conducting educational field trips for K-12 students to provide accurate and up-to-date information that enhances knowledge and awareness of natural resources issues and the SCDNR mission.
Serving as a deckhand on board the Education Vessel Discovery.
Coordinating stewardship-based projects with students and teachers.
Maintaining educational fish tanks and caring for animals collected.
Individual must be available for routine day travel with occasional overnight travel including working odd hours.
A bachelor's degree in a related technical area required. 2 years of experience in environmental education preferred.
Salary is $46,753. Application closes June 4 at 5:00PM.

The Colleton FFA will host its annual spring plant sale on April 4th from 9 AM to 2 PM. We will have a selection of plants and vegetables from the Agriculture Students. The Welding students are making Shepherds Hooks, the Culinary Arts will have a variety of baked goods, and the building construction students will have chairs available for sale.

Agriculture students are growing plants for the annual FFA Plant Sale. The Plant sale is planned for Saturday, April 4th, 2026. Make plans to come out and support these students. The welding, building construction, and culinary arts students will have some projects at the sale.
