This week, our 3rd–5th graders wrap up State Testing!
Our teachers and staff have been preparing students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed, and we know they are ready to shine. You can support your child by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day.
We are proud of our students and know they will do their very best. Thank you for your continued support in helping make this a successful testing week!

⏰ Arrival
-Students should be dropped off in the car rider loop before 7:30 AM.
-Students arriving after 7:30 AM must be accompanied to the lobby by an adult. Adults do not need to enter the office; instead, please sign your child in on the blue sheet located on the table and include the time of arrival. Students will then proceed into the office independently to pick up a pass before going to breakfast or class.
We appreciate your support in helping us start each day on time and ready to learn!
🚗 Early Sign-Outs
We kindly ask that all student sign-outs be completed before 1:30 PM. Sign-outs after this time cause significant interruptions to the instructional day, impacting both teachers and students. Additionally, late sign-outs present safety concerns, as they interfere with our ability to maintain an organized and secure dismissal process. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that our school day runs smoothly and safely for everyone.
💻 Social Media
As always, we truly appreciate when our Cougar Cub Families spread positivity on social media. For any concerns or suggestions, please first reach out to your child’s teacher, and then to the administration if needed. This approach will help us promote and preserve the positive culture at Forest Hills Elementary.

👖 CCSD’s Dress Code Policy
Approved collared shirt colors include white, navy blue, light blue, light pink, light yellow, gray, or a school-sponsored T-shirt. Hooded jackets and sweatshirts are not allowed to be worn inside the building.

🚫 Zero Tolerance for Fighting
Any student who fights will be immediately suspended and recommended for expulsion. The student will then go before the hearing officer for a decision regarding expulsion.
🦺 Behavior and Safety Reminder
Please remind your child that hands and words are for helping, not for hurting. If they notice anything concerning, they should report it to an adult at school and an adult at home.
