Our 4th graders DUG in to their first Hooper class of the year with a lesson on soil! 🪨🪏

We got our hands in the dirt exploring what soil is made of and what processes and factors help to create our soil. They even finished with a soil scientist bookmark showing the different layers or horizons in soil!

Learning about seeds in 3rd grade! 🌻

Our students explored how seeds travel from place to place through wind, water, animals, and gravity. We then tried our hand at making our own seeds balls, with native wildflower seeds!

Students were able to take their seed balls home or have them collected for the seed ball launch at Distant Hill on October 25th!

Our 6-8th graders are having a blast during Hooper BPH! These students meet twice a week and have been focusing on the garden this fall. They have explored many topics from seed collecting, harvesting lots of tomatoes, helping to prepare our gardens for the winter, and even getting crafty with some seed art on our rainy days!

Check out their amazing artwork below!
