Abel's father is a chiropractor. Through his conversation with updates, I keep receiving recent news from Abel, a student of mine from many years ago. Of course, when I learned this news, I was extremely proud.
Through many years of experience in teaching piano students, I have met quite a few students with different natures. In general, I seldom see or hear a student grasping his future career in high school. Usually I hear high school students describe their concern about getting into the ideal college. However, this is certainly not Abel's concern! For Able, after his high school graduation, he passed various psychological and physical examinations and was admitted to the US Army to participate in fire rescue training. And now, Abel is about to graduate from an Army military base to become a member of the fire department (this profession is also recognized as a fire fighting hero in the eyes of American society).
This student reminds me of all the things that we spent time together in the past....From the beginning of teaching this charming little boy, and now a fine youngman who is a fully trained Firefighter!! Here is a note to share with this student, Abel. I am proud of you!
在多年的鋼琴才藝教導的經驗當中， 我遇見過相當多不同性質的學生。 總的而言， 我很少看到或者聽到學生在高中時期就已經掌握住他未來所要成就職業的事項。 通常我所聽到的高中學生形容他們關心的是如何進入理想的大學。 而這位學生 Abel, 高中畢業後通過了心理和生理的各種層面的審核， 錄取進入美國陸軍參與消防培訓， 即將結業成為消防局一員 (這職業可堪稱是美國人民眼中的滅火英雄)。 這位學生讓我想起以往相處學習的總總....從開始教導這一位學生，身高低於我一個頭，直到現在這一位即將結業的消防員 Abel (身高已達到6英尺)， 歷歷在目。
Abel 的父親是一位脊椎骨科醫師. 透過他的陳述,我不斷接收到這一位學生的近期消息. 當然在得知這消息時，我心中是無比的驕傲。 特此一記， 分享給這一位學生 Abel.
