Our Philosophy:
Walnut United Methodist Preschool was established as a service to the families and children of the community. Our aim is to nurture the children in their physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. We believe a motivated child who is actively involved with people, objects, and events is the most efficient learner. The teachers in our program will observe and structure the environment to create a world in which your child can grow and develop their own unique abilities at their own rate. We will acknowledge the emotional and spiritual needs of the child while remembering preschool children need love, understanding, and quite often demonstrative affection. To summarize, we believe the child should develop a love for learning that is based on numerous enjoyable experiences in a school setting that makes learning a genuine source of pleasure, as well as prepare the child for all future learning experiences that he/she may meet throughout life.
