🚨ATTENTION MT.SAC STUDENTS🚨

Due to the House of Representatives (H.R. 1) act that was signed into law July 4th, 2025, significant changes to CalFresh eligibility will go into effect, including eligibility for noncitizens.

Effective April 1st, 2026, certain noncitizens will no longer be eligible for CalFresh benefits. However, you may be eligible for CalFresh if immigration status changes to Legal Permanent Resident (LPR) and meet other eligibility requirements.

We understand this is a major change to CalFresh eligibility. Our CalFresh Outreach Team here at Mt.SAC is here to support you if you have any questions or concerns about this topic. Be sure to stop by our Basic Needs Resource Center in 9C or book an appointment with the CalFresh team.

To Rebecca and the entire Women’s Club of Claremont—thank you for believing in our students and in the work we do every day. Your kindness and commitment to community does not go unnoticed.
This is what it looks like when community shows up. 🙌
