🎃 Trunk-or-Treat at WGES! 🎃

Join us for a fun alternative to trick-or-treating! At Trunk-or-Treat, families and volunteers decorate their cars with Halloween themes—think monsters, spiderwebs, or pumpkin patches—and hand out candy from their trunks. Kids will go from car to car collecting candy.

We need your trunks! If you’d like to participate by decorating your car, we would love to have you join the fun!

Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! We are thrilled to see all our students back on campus and are looking forward to an exciting and productive year ahead.

SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION REQUEST 2024-2025

Dear Parents & Students,

School bus transportation for the 2024-2025 school year will be on an approved basis only. To submit a school bus transportation request please visit the school district website at www.rdusd.org and click on the departments tab then select transportation, then click the transportation request link. If you are unable to complete the online request, you may call the transportation office at 707-374-1706 for assistance.

If your student is approved, you will receive confirmation via parent square and email. Approval will contain the students approved bus stop. School bus routes with pick up/drop off times will be released in early August prior to the start of school.

Transportation requests must be received by July 19, 2024, requests received after July 19, 2024, will be assigned to the wait list.

Prioritization of student approvals will be in accordance with the Transportation Plan adopted by the RDUSD school board in March 2023.

It's that time of year again—Pear Fair is right around the corner! Walnut Grove Elementary School’s PTA will be baking their famous, homemade Pear Pies using their original recipe. Don't miss out! You can pre-order your pear pies by contacting Carina Palafox at (916) 270-5129 or Sandra Martinez at (916) 796-5945. Please note, all pre-orders must be paid for at the time of pickup, either on Saturday July 27th at Rio Vista High School or at Pear Fair July 28th. If you don’t pre-order, you can still purchase whole pies or slices at the Courtland Pear Fair on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Thank you for your continued support!

Huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to all the amazing players who brought their passion and skill to this month’s volleyball tournament! Your dedication, sportsmanship, and teamwork made it an unforgettable event. 🏐 Join us for an exciting adults-only volleyball tournament for a great cause! On Saturday, March 23, 2024, we’re hosting a fundraiser to support our sixth-grade class’s Sly Park field trip.

Gather your squad and register for just $150 per team (maximum of 10 players). Remember, we require at least two women on the court at all times.
