Walnut Creek Intermediate is a middle school serving children in grades 6-8 in the Walnut Creek School District. WCI PTA partners with school administration and teachers to provide a well-rounded middle school experience for all our students. We support school events by providing organization, volunteers, and funding. Without the PTA, events such as 6th grade skate nights, 7th grade Japan day, 8th grade Civil War day, and the WEB program would no longer be possible. Our volunteers also plan and coordinate each grade level's fun end-of-year activities. WCI PTA partners with WCEF to fund our campus safety supervisor and provide new technology equipment for the students.

🎟️ Cost: $35 per student, online only.
No door sales. [Register here]

Your ticket includes:
Dinner: pizza, burger sliders, pretzel sticks, chicken bites, French fries, seasonal fruit, and unlimited fountain drinks
A Power Card loaded with 125 chips
Unlimited play on participating non-redemption games (look for the blue light around the card reader)
Ticketed games, specialty games, and crane games aren’t part of unlimited play. Students can use their 125 chips for those.

🎉 BIG NEWS IN CALIFORNIA: Senate Bill 1048, which would create a California Seal of Climate Literacy, passed through the legislature with strong, bipartisan support, and is now sitting on Governor Gavin Newsom desk! PTA leaders throughout California sent postcards asking for the Governor's signature. He has until September 30 to sign it into law and now he needs to hear from YOU.

The Seal of Climate Literacy would recognize California high schoolers who build real climate knowledge, systems thinking, and hands-on problem-solving skills through courses, projects, and hands-on learning experiences. It gives young people the skills and experiences to get connected to careers in the green economy and continue California’s climate leadership.

📣 Take 60 seconds to email Governor Newsom and ask him to sign by visiting capta.org/advocacy/take-action/. Use your voice to spread the word to your PTA community! We're so close to making California's Seal of Climate Literacy a reality for graduating students. Let's get it across the finish line. 💪

Voter Services will be on campus in the Library from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM to help eligible students register or pre-register to vote.

📚 Social Studies teachers will be bringing classes to the Library throughout the day, with a focus on Junior and Senior classes.

🍭 WCI’s First Fall Social Needs YOU! 🍬

The Candyland 7th & 8th Grade Dance is coming up on September 25, and this post isn’t about selling tickets. It’s about supporting our students. 💛

This is a student-led event, and our student leaders have been working to create a fun first social event of the school year for their classmates. Now they need adults behind the scenes to help make it happen!

We’re looking for parent and guardian chaperones to help create a fun, welcoming, and safe evening, as well as donations to help with the event.

Our students are taking the lead. Let’s show up to support them. 🙌
