What exactly is Measure L — and why is it on the ballot this June?
This June, Walnut Creek voters will see Measure L - a school parcel tax measure - on the ballot.
A parcel tax is a local property tax approved by voters that provides revenue directly to WCSD schools.
The proposed measure would add $98 per parcel annually.
Local parcel tax support through Measure L helps WCSD schools maintain:
small class sizes
strong academic programs
experienced educators
In the coming weeks, we’ll explore how WCSD schools are supported and why local partnerships, including this parcel tax, play an important role in maintaining the programs our community values.
