Children of Faith Missions

✨ This is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do… and also the hardest. We’re currently interviewing and selecting new children to welcome into the Children of Faith home. Please keep us in your prayers.

Every couple of years, relatives of the kids travel from far and wide, hoping for a chance for the child - most who have had little or no access to education - to join our home and begin school. 📚

We carefully listen to each story and face the difficult task of choosing the children with the greatest need.

Through writing, our students at Children of Faith are sharing their thoughts, dreams, and what they’re learning every day.

They wrote these pieces in English (one of three languages they’re learning at our school!), and they are so proud to share them with you. 💛

We are SO excited to share that we celebrated the opening of our new Dining Hall and modern kitchen at the Children of Faith campus and shared our very first meal in this beautiful space.

The children were thrilled, dressed in their new Christmas outfits, and proudly joined in the ribbon-cutting alongside friends, family, and members of the local community.

This project began at our 20th Anniversary Celebration in May 2024, when 300 supporters came together to help make this vision a reality. After years of cooking over an open fire in a temporary shelter, our cooks are deeply grateful to now prepare meals in a safe, clean, and fully equipped kitchen.

Each year, Children of Faith serves nearly 10,000 meals to our children. This new building provides proper storage, clean cooking areas, and sturdy tables and chairs where children can gather with dignity and joy.

Rosie Thandu shared, “Everything we see today is because of God’s faithfulness and provision. Jireh is a house of God’s provision, where meals are shared, lives are cared for, and God’s love is experienced every day.”

✨ New School Uniforms Are Here! ✨

In India, school uniforms are more than just clothing... they symbolize discipline, equality, and pride. Our 120 children received their brand-new uniforms for the school year, and their excitement says it all!

It’s amazing how something as simple as a uniform can bring so much confidence and unity. Thank you to all our supporters for enabling us to care for the children in this way.

• Suvarna Deepika, 9th grade says: “This year are uniforms are very different and we have skirts. All girls are loving it.”

• Venu, 4th grade says: “The blue one is my favorite"

• Bogisri, 6th grade says: “I love the puffy sleeves of the green uniform and the band our skirts have. We are all happy. I also like the colorful socks."

Exciting news! COF founder Anand Thandu is here visiting for the first time in 2 years. He is thrilled to be back reconnecting with friends and supporters of Children of Faith. He would love to see you at one of his church visits.

Our children had a wonderful day recently exploring India’s rich heritage! 🇮🇳

They dressed as historical figures, professions, beloved literary characters, and representatives of different regions. Alongside the fun, we focused on important conservation habits like clean water and reducing plastic use.

We Hired a Music Teacher! 🎶🥁🎹

Music has always brought joy to our children at Children of Faith, and now it’s officially part of our school day! We’re so excited to welcome David, our dedicated new music teacher, who’s helping our students explore percussion, keyboard, ukulele, and even harmonica.

It hasn’t been easy to find someone willing to travel to our home on the outskirts of town, but David’s commitment and heart for our kids have made it possible. The children are thrilled to be learning how to read music—something rarely offered in schools across India.

One student, Hash*th, says, “I never thought I’d have the chance to learn to play the keyboard.”

With music now woven into our daily routine, we’re not just making noise... we’re making progress. Thank you for helping us create these life-changing opportunities! 💫

Hear from David himself about working at COF: "I'm so glad to have this opportunity to work with the children at Children of Faith. Back in May of 2024, Dr. Sam Tseng and Lili Tseng met with our co-founder, Rosie, and learned about the need to strengthen medical care for the many children living at our home. That conversation led to a meaningful trip to India this past February, where the Tsengs collaborated with local physicians to establish a well-rounded medical team for COF.

Dentists, pediatricians, and other specialists is now in place to provide consistent care to our kids! Dr. Tseng also trained staff and older children in basic health assessments, empowering them to monitor their own wellbeing.

Their visit not only laid the groundwork for lasting change—it also built strong relationships and inspired hope for the future. We are so grateful for the Tsengs! 💛
