We found that there was a demand for a more forum or group like use of ICPS Facebook so people can post pictures and talk about the plants. However, this would potentially bury some of the announcements and other news on this page under stacks of discussion. 🌿 Help Us Document Malaysia’s Wild Nepenthes! 🌿

The Malaysia Carnivorous Plant Society (MCPS) is building a comprehensive photographic database to better understand and document the diversity and distribution of wild Nepenthes species across Malaysia.

If you enjoy hiking or exploring nature and have captured in-situ photos of wild pitcher plants, we need your help! Your original photographs directly support documentation, education, and biodiversity research efforts.

How to contribute:
• Upload your original in-situ Nepenthes photos.
• Rename your photo files using the species name before submitting (if known) (e.g., ⁠Nepenthes_gracilis.jpg⁠).

Every photograph contributes to a growing record of Malaysia's incredible natural heritage.

"Pinguicula macroceras - Del Norte County, California. This image, taken May 30, shows a colony of this temperate species in full bloom growing an a vertical rockwall overhanging a fast-flowing stream. This wall was north facing and mostly shaded. The Pinguicula followed cracks in the rock where the roots could pe*****te, and were more abundant in exposed areas than those already filled with moss or other vegetation."
