Welcome to Walnut Creek Christian Academy -- a school that's educating the whole child by cultivating the mind, heart, body, and soul for Christ! The business of biblically-based, Christ-centered education is nothing new to us. Since 1949, WCCA has served the Lord by ministering to the needs of families in the Diablo Valley. Located just 25 miles east of San Francisco, we are a ministry of First Baptist Church of Walnut Creek. Aliya is a kind, humble, and creative young lady who is a joy to have in class. She exemplifies a Well-Equipped Christian through her thoughtful participation in Bible class and chapel, her willingness to use her talents, and the care she shows toward those around her. Fiona, 4th grade, is an excellent student who comes to class ready and eager to learn. While she shared with her teacher that she does not enjoy Social Studies—an honest confession—she chose to share one thing about the curriculum that she does enjoy and make that her focus. This kind of problem-solving and choosing to focus on what is right, even during something unpleasant or arduous, is the true character of an Academic Achiever. Our Jr. High Star Student is Vivienne. Vivienne is an Academic Achiever who demonstrates a strong commitment to doing her very best. She approaches her schoolwork with determination and a desire to grow. She is not afraid to ask thoughtful questions when she needs clarification, takes time to think critically, and shows a genuine desire to understand what she is learning. Her willingness to seek help, persevere through challenges, and take responsibility for her learning are wonderful qualities that will continue to help her succeed. Vivienne is also a Capable Communicator who is quickly becoming a wonderful part of the WCCA community. She is building new friendships, interacts positively with her classmates, and demonstrates kindness and respect toward both her peers and teachers. We especially appreciate the positive attitude she brings to the classroom and the way she approaches each day with a willingness to learn and grow.

Our first third-grade star student is Sophia! Sophia has been working hard as she adjusts to the new routines and academic expectations of third grade. She is doing a wonderful job sharing her thoughts and ideas, participating in class, and communicating with those around her. Alex works hard to earn his grades and approaches his studies with focus and determination.
