🐾 BUENA VISTA ELEMENTARY PTA: IMPACT IN ACTION! 2025-2026 SUMMARY! 🐾

Take a look at what our amazing Bulldog community accomplished together! We are incredibly proud of the impact we made on our students and staff during the 2025-2026 school year.

Here’s the TL;DR version:
✅ WE RAISED: Over $60,439.39 through incredible efforts like The Fun Run and Fundsgiving!
✅ WHERE THE MONEY WENT: A staggering 88.5% went directly to student and classroom enrichment programs.
📊 PER-STUDENT IMPACT: That translates to ~$100 spent directly on every single Bulldog this year to enrich their daily learning and school experience.

Your support fueled:

4th-grade Sacramento field trip transportation and 5th-grade environmental camp transportation.

Direct classroom/grade level stipends for every single teacher and specialist.

A brand new book for every student at the Book Fair.

A range of community events like the BV Jamboree, Movie Nights, Glow Dances, and Multicultural Night.

Honoring all 68 of our dedicated staff members.

📬 Check your mailboxes! Local election ballots should have arrived. We wanted to share a quick but vital reminder about Measure L: this measure requires a 2/3 vote to pass. Passing a parcel tax with a supermajority takes a village, and every local vote counts.

YES ON L for WC School District! The campaign to pass Measure L for our WC School District Schools is a local volunteer effort. Every vote will count as we need to achieve a 2/3rd YES vote to pass. Look for your neighborhood School sign up to wave Measure L signs outside and off campus of the school site on the following days, lead...

🍦 We can’t wait to see our new/incoming TK and Kindergarten families this afternoon for some sweet treats. This is the perfect chance for the kiddos to make new friends and for parents to connect ahead of the school year.

Why Buena Vista PTA Endorses Measure L, the June 2026 WCSD parcel tax.

Over the past several weeks we’ve been sharing information about the WCSD parcel tax measure - Measure L - appearing on the June 2026 ballot.

As a community organization focused on supporting students and classrooms, we want to share why Buena Vista PTA supports this measure.

Because of California’s school funding formula, WCSD receives less funding per student than most districts in Contra Costa County.
Local partnerships help bridge that gap — supporting:

small class sizes
strong academic programs
experienced teachers

The current parcel tax was approved in 2009, and today it supports about 10 teacher positions. If approved, the new measure would restore support closer to the level that existed in 2009.

We believe strong schools benefit our students and our entire community.

Seeing our students’ passion and dedication on full display was a true highlight of the year.
