May is National Bike Month, and Walnut Acres is celebrating with our second Walk & Roll event of the year on Wednesday, May 6th.

Whether you’re on two wheels, three wheels, or your own two feet, let’s fill the sidewalks with school spirit to promote healthy habits and a greener environment!

Safety First!

✔️Helmet Check: Ensure a snug, proper fit before heading out.

✔️Cross with Care: Use crosswalks and look left-right-left every time.

✔️Buddy Up: Rolling with friends is safer and twice the fun.

✔️Beyond the School Gates: Bike to Wherever Day

The celebration continues all month long! On Thursday, May 14th, join thousands of riders across the Bay Area for Bike to Wherever Day. Swing by an “Energizer Station” for free snacks and goodies.

Walnut Creek Host Sites (May 14):

Morning Fuel (7:30–10 AM): S. Broadway & Newell Ave (near Whole Foods).

Afternoon Bike Rodeo (3–6 PM): Pedal Palooza at the back field of Civic Park - perfect for students to sharpen their skills!

Join us for an exciting STEM Night on Wednesday, May 6 from 5-7 pm. The night will be filled with hands-on fun, discovery, and creativity!

Families can explore engaging activities, enjoy interactive science experiments, and learn together.

TK–2nd grade students are also welcome to bring any projects they would like to share.
