Do they offer a complete curriculum, including color theory, anesthetic use, sterilization of instruments and cross- contamination?
Are there more than 5 students per class?
Is there any practical work involved- do you get to work on a live model? Are you just watching the instructor? When you do work on a live model?
Are they only offering 1-2 days of instruction instead of a full week?
Are they offering permitting for you pre practice ?
Do they provide any post-training support to students?
Are their instructors highly experienced, with hundreds of treatments?
Do they charge extra for supplies? Do you get photos to start a portfolio with?
Do they offer advanced classes in specialized areas of permanent cosmetics?

✅Skin tone + Pigment = Healed Result

To understand the color theory, we need to explore the properties of brown pigments first. Browns can be complex; they can include cadmium oxide (red), ocher (yellow) or soot (black/grey/blue). Over time, the yellow color is the first one that is removed from the skin, so then the skin color turns purplish, or has a bit of a lilac shade. Later, the black color goes away, and then the only color that is left is red. Cadmium (red) is perceived by the body as a natural color, so we often can see red, pink, orange eyebrows after the other shades have faded away; the problem is that it stays for a long time

Red, blue, and yellow are primary colors. When you mix red and yellow, you get orange; mix blue and yellow, you get green; mix red and blue, you get violet. Orange, green and violet are hence called secondary colors. Tertiary colors like red-violet and blue-violet are derived by mixing a primary color with a secondary color.

Your undertone is the color that is under the skin (not to be confused with overtones). Everyone’s undertone sits somewhere on the spectrum of cool (more blue) to warm (more yellow.) I say it’s a spectrum because it is—some people are obviously richly warm and some are very icy cool, but most are somewhere in the middle, and a few are true neutral, a perfect balance of warm and cool.

Some amazing women, determined and business oriented graduated from Classic Lash Artistry Class. It was a lot of content and knowledge and one of the students said “ I didn’t know how much goes into lash artistry”. Yes… I teach from business, marketing science and skill in this class.

I have been doing this for last 15 years 😍 and I still love it more every day. Best post is when I see students walking in the class not knowing how to even hold tweezers to applying lashes on clients. The biggest thing that sets this program apart is that I offer 20 hours additional help in my studio on models.

What is the right post care?
If you are using anethstetics during the process of permanent makeup pigmentation, keep in mind Epinephrine ( adrenaline) which is used to reduce swelling will leave skin dry and scaly.( just a hormonal effect). More over the use of lidocaine will make skin less elastic and appear thin after procedure.

The goal is to suggest an aftercare that revives the skin back and assists in normal healing with out the loss of pigment.

To keep the integrity of skin there are suggestion often made like
1. Vaseline
2. Aquaphore ( widely used for body tattoo healing)
3. Vitamin A& D
4. Grapeseed oil
5. Any moisturizer with bees wax
6. Other post care products in the market

The key idea is to keep moisture locked in the skin, provide a barrier film on the skin to keep it away from bacteria and possible infections. Non of these creams have anti bacterial properties but they provide inhibition of growth of bacteria and as a result are recommended.

It is important to understand the ingredient in each post care you recommend . I want to break down the essential and key factors that these products can be classified in

1. Humectants ( attract moisture) Aquaphore, Glycerine
2. Occlusive (Barrier that hold moisture in) Petroleum Jelly
3. Squalene ( Oil Based) Vitamin A& D
4. Emollients ( Fats and oils) Grapeseed oil, coconut oil

Each skin type is different so as a PMU artist knowing all these ingredients is important so you can recommend accurately. Since skin at this time of healing is already dry and we recommend not washing for few days so that natural moisture can be built back .
For Normal Skin it is highly recommended to use Occulusive agents , however if client skin is too oily naturally Squalene and Emolients are to be avoided. If Skin is too dry then Humectants are recommended

I recommend using post care based on skin type, and procedure performed. Please don’t forget to recommend an SPF 50 or higher so that pigment stays healthy.
