🍂Fall Break is almost over, and we’re missing our little Gators’ faces!🍂

We hope everyone has enjoyed some much needed time together! We know some of our families traveled far, headed to the beach, and even had to deal with evacuations. ❤️ We hope you were able to enjoy the time you had together and that everyone is safe!

📸 Before break ends, show us what you’ve been up to! Drop your favorite fall break pictures in the comments. Whether you traveled, had adventures close to home, or spent your break relaxing, we’d love to see those smiling faces!

We have some fun things planned for BOTH our students AND teachers when we return, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

Enjoy these last few days, Gator families! We’ll see you MONDAY! 🐊💚💙

Fall Break this week. See you next Monday! 🧡

Our 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Cole, invited PTA in for a peak at one of their fun lessons yesterday.

During their morning meeting, Mrs. Cole shared a joke of the day and to help the kids get why the joke was funny, Mrs. Cole had to explain to the kids what bologna was. Only 2 kids knew what bologna was. So Mrs. Cole googled it for them to build their understanding. Then, Mrs. Cole asked them if they had heard the bologna name song...they said, "No". So, Mrs. Cole called a friend, Mr. Cole, to sing the song for the kids. They loved it! Look at their smiles! Mrs. Cole also showed them the 1974 commercial to help them understand where the song came from. Lol

The joke of the day was:
What does a ghost eat for dinner?

Boo-loney! 🤣

Thank you Mrs. Cole for sharing this fun experience with us!!

🍿🩷 POPCORN FRIDAY + A LITTLE COMMUNITY LOVE! 🩷🍿

We didn’t forget to take a picture this time, y’all! 😂🙌🏼 Meet your Popcorn Friday team! We had a whole crew behind the scenes today making sure our Gators got their popcorn fix.

BUT… our favorite part of Popcorn Friday today happened outside of the school!

One of our very own 1st graders, Heidi from Mrs. Cole’s class, helped deliver some extra popcorn to the Walls Police Department and Walls Fire Department as part of her community service while representing her pageant title, Young Miss Gulf Coast States! 👑🩷

We absolutely LOVE seeing our Walls Gators learning that being part of a community means giving back, showing appreciation, and spreading a little kindness wherever you go.

Thank you, Heidi, for representing Walls Elementary and our community with such a sweet heart! And a HUGE thank-you to our local police officers and firefighters for everything you do for our community! 💙🚒🚓

Now THAT is what we call a Popcorn Friday with a purpose!
