Today, our hearts are with our neighbors at East Bernard ISD and the entire East Bernard community as they face an unimaginable loss.

Our schools may compete on the field and court, but today there are no opposing sidelines. We stand together as neighboring communities, educators, students, families, and friends.

From everyone at Brazos ISD, we send our deepest condolences, our prayers, and our love to the Brahma community and to all those impacted by this tremendous loss.

There is a LOT to celebrate at Brazos ISD! ❤️🖤
These results speak for themselves, and when you look at accountability results across our area, Brazos ISD has every reason to stand incredibly proud. Our Cougars continue to demonstrate that the size of a district has absolutely nothing to do with the size of its success.
Across all three campuses, our students are achieving, growing, closing gaps, and preparing for what comes next. Our results place Brazos above some of the strongest-performing schools in our area, and that is something worth celebrating!
That kind of success doesn’t happen by accident. It represents incredible students, dedicated teachers and staff, strong campus leadership, supportive families, and a community that believes in its schools.
And a special thank you to our Brazos ISD Board of Trustees for their continued leadership, support, and commitment to our students and staff. Their decisions and dedication help provide our campuses with the resources, support, and direction needed to keep moving Brazos forward.
Brazos is making its mark.

Brazos Cougar fans, we are excited to see you tonight! Due to ongoing construction, please be aware of the following parking information at Brazos High School:
🟡 OPEN PARKING: Parking between the football field and baseball field will be OPEN for spectators. Please use the highlighted area on the map.
🚫 STUDENT PARKING LOT CLOSED: The Brazos High School student parking area shown with black lines on the map will be CLOSED and should not be used for parking tonight.
🟡 ADDITIONAL PARKING: Spectators may also park at Brazos Middle School in the highlighted parking area shown on the second map.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue working around construction!

📣 Cougar Nation, let’s keep our stands BRAZOS PROUD! ❤️🖤🐾

A new Texas law, SB 2929, the “Safe Stands Act,” is now in effect and gives officials at school athletic events, including school administrators, greater authority to address inappropriate spectator behavior.

We LOVE passionate fans. We WANT you to be loud. We WANT packed stands and lots of Cougar pride! But at the end of the day, these events are about our students. We expect everyone in attendance to treat our athletes, coaches, opponents, officials, administrators, and one another with respect.

Under SB 2929, spectators may be removed from an athletic event for inappropriate behavior without first receiving a warning.

So bring the energy, wear your RED & BLACK, cheer loudly, and help us model the kind of sportsmanship we expect from our students.

🔥 WE’RE FIRED UP FOR 2026–2027! 🔥

Today, we officially welcomed ALL Brazos ISD staff back for the 2026–2027 school year!

Superintendent Tiffani Shirley led this year’s Convocation, where we had the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Aric Bostick. His powerful message focused on the importance of building positive relationships, supporting one another, and recognizing the incredible impact our staff can have on the lives of our students every single day.

We laughed, we learned, we celebrated our people, and most importantly, we got FIRED UP for the year ahead! 🔥

There is something special happening at Brazos ISD, and we are excited to see our campuses filled with students next week. Our staff is ready, our energy is high, and our focus is clear.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming our newest members of the Brazos ISD family!

Rather than spending the day only in a meeting room, we wanted our new staff to experience what makes Brazos ISD so special. We began by sharing the rich history of our district and the communities of Wallis and Orchard, learning about the legacy that has shaped Brazos ISD into what it is today.

From there, we boarded the bus and toured our district and community. We visited each campus, learned about the unique character of our towns, and saw firsthand where our students live, learn, and grow. Understanding our community helps us better understand the students and families we are honored to serve each day.

At Brazos ISD, we believe that great schools are built on strong relationships. Before teaching a lesson, coaching a game, driving a bus, preparing a meal, or supporting students in any role, it’s important to know the people and the community behind our mission.

To our newest Cougars: Welcome to the family! We are excited to have you here and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make on the lives of our students.
