With the newly renovated servery, there’s a lot to choose from. Build-your-own salads, a deli station, a hot bar, a full pizza oven, a dedicated allergen-free station, and the real MVP... the ice cream machine.

Last week, Choate Summer Programs students took on a Wellness Day scavenger hunt across campus.

In small groups, they followed clues that led them to faculty and staff, including campus safety officers, the mailroom team, summer faculty, and more.

It was a fun way to get moving, work together, and meet some of the people who make the program possible.

Classroom Close-Up: Hands on History

In this Choate Summer Programs course, students researched textiles in the Andrew Mellon Library and explored historical newspapers and other primary sources at the Wallingford Public Library using a microfilm reader. Every document is a clue, and every discovery brings history to life.

Students in Choate Summer Programs Service as Social Justice workshop volunteered at Connecticut Foodshare as part of their two-week immersive program exploring community impact.

The Communications Office also spent an afternoon this month helping sort and prepare food for neighbors across the state.
