Lyman Hall Productions Brings Spooky Fun to Life with The Addams Family
Lyman Hall High School was delightfully transformed into a world of charming darkness during Lyman Hall Productions’ presentation of The Addams Family, performed May 1–3, 2026 in Wallingford.
Based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams, The Addams Family musical debuted on Broadway in 2010 and has since become a popular choice for school and community theater. The story centers on Wednesday Addams, now grown and in love with a “normal” boy, Lucas Beineke. When the Beinekes visit the Addams home for dinner, secrets unravel, personalities clash, and the hilarity unfolds—reminding us all that every family is unique in its own way.
Leading the cast was Jack Vann as Gomez Addams, the clear standout of the production. His charisma, timing, and commanding presence anchored the show and brought effortless humor and heart to every scene.
Michaela Erksa delivered an elegant and captivating Morticia Addams, perfectly embodying the character’s dry wit and poise. Her performance of “Death is Just Around the Corner,” alongside the Ancestors, was especially memorable and showcased her strong vocal ability.
As Wednesday Addams, Alexa Adams balanced deadpan humor with emotional depth, and a special shoutout goes to understudy Savanna Lendroth for supporting the role. Sydney McMahon stepped in admirably as Pugsley Addams, with recognition also due to primary Pugsley Molly Vann.
Michael Farrell brought both laughs and impressive vocals as Uncle Fester, shining in the romantic ballad “The Moon and Me.” Nolan Adams, portraying The Moon, added a unique and graceful touch with a ballerina-inspired performance that was both whimsical and visually striking.

Ray Wang as Lurch, whose deadpan expressions and comical shuffle drew consistent laughs

The Ancestors ensemble—Brianna Cozzi, Sydney McMahon, Talia De Pascale, Mia De Pascale, Nolan Adams, Savanna Lendroth, Foxglove Lumbra, Jesus Avila, Cadence Nelson, Ansley Labonte, Mikayla Wallace, Alexis Kallapodhi, Greenlee Radich, Gia Morova, Allessandra Nuzzello, and Phoenyx McDermott—added haunting charm, humor, and strong vocal backing throughout the show.
One of the most impressive elements of this production was the live orchestra, featuring a combination of adult musicians and talented Lyman Hall students. This added richness and authenticity to the performance that elevated the entire show and is especially commendable for a high school production.

Lyman Hall Productions delivered a wonderfully entertaining and well-executed Addams Family. With standout leads, a committed ensemble, and the added brilliance of a live orchestra, this production showcased the incredible talent and dedication of these students and their creative team. Spooky, funny, and full of heart—it was a night of theater not to be missed!
