Dear Wallingford Community,

The Board of Education voted to consolidate Wallingford’s two high schools into a single new facility, integrated with the Agriculture, Science, and Technology Education (ASTE) building. With high school Educational Specifications under review, the Board is now advancing the ASTE facility specifications as the next project phase.

On Monday, September 28, 2026, SLAM consultants presented the Board with the draft ASTE Educational Specifications. We invite community feedback as the Board refines these specifications. You can review the draft New Wallingford Agriculture, Science, & Technology Education Center Educational Specifications and the Presentation by clicking on these links or going to the district website.

Please submit questions or suggestions via the Draft ASTE Educational Specifications Feedback Form by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026. We will also schedule a public forum for community review and feedback. Date and location details will follow soon.

All input will be addressed publicly at the next Board of Education meeting in the Board Room at 4 Fairfield Blvd., Suite 2:

Adult Education & Family Literacy Week
Wallingford Adult Education celebrated National Adult Education & Family Literacy Week from September 14–18, recognizing the accomplishments of our adult learners, the dedication of our educators and staff, and the importance of lifelong learning.

To cap off the week, Mayor Vincent Cervoni visited Wallingford Adult Education and presented Dr. Anthony Mangiafico and the program with an official citation recognizing Adult Education & Family Literacy Week in the Town of Wallingford. Superintendent Danielle Bellizzi also joined students and staff for the special recognition.

We are grateful to Mayor Cervoni, Superintendent Bellizzi, the Board of Education, and our entire community for their continued support of adult education and the students and families we serve.

Reminder

The Town of Wallingford will hold a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in front of Wallingford Town Hall.

All citizens are invited to attend as we come together to remember and honor all of those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
