Today we had the pleasure of welcoming a great group of Tomball Memorial high school students to our nursery! 🌱

During their visit, they got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to grow the plants you see in HEB and landscapes every day. We talked about careers in horticulture, the science of growing healthy plants, and the business side of running a commercial nursery.

From propagation and production to sales, logistics, and management, the green industry offers a wide range of opportunities for students who enjoy working with plants and being part of a growing industry.

We love sharing what we do and helping the next generation discover the many paths available in horticulture. Thanks to these students and their teachers for spending the day with us — we hope to see some future plant professionals in the group! 🌿

Our 3rd Annual Spring Creek University was all about getting closer to what matters most—our customers.

From visiting customers on live job sites to engaging our entire team around customer satisfaction, the experience reinforced how valuable firsthand insight really is.

Today was our first Spring Creek Native Plant Day! In partnership with Native Plant Society of Texas and the Coastal Prairie Conservancy our staff took a deep dive into Texas natives in our ecoregion. We started the day walking in Indiangrass preserve and ended with a test! We are grateful for our partners and for the opportunity to be a leader in the promotion of native plants! Many thanks to our wonderful instructors and to the CPC for hosting us!

The second annual Spring Creek University was a great time this past Friday! Our team visited customer sites across Houston to connect their jobs to customer satisfaction and glean an enhanced sense of purpose in our work. This annual day of learning and team building has become one of the best ways to connect and have deeper conversations about how and why we do what we do. We walk away with extreme gratitude to our customers and colleagues, and get an invigoration to start spring. Let’s go!!
