Mrs. Schmidt has served our Waller ISD family in several different roles, from teacher and school counselor at Turlington Elementary to Assistant Principal and now Principal at Jones Elementary. Each role has given her a valuable perspective on what students and teachers need to be successful, and she brings that experience to her leadership every day.
Mrs. Schmidt has always had a heart for the people she serves, and she is appreciated for the way she advocates for her students and staff. She invests time and care in her school and community, building strong relationships that help people feel connected and supported. Mrs. Schmidt also knows that fun and learning belong together, making Jones Elementary a place where students can work hard, enjoy their school day, and feel proud to be Jaguars.
There is “No Place Like Jones,” and Mrs. Schmidt is a big part of the reason why. We are so proud of you and grateful for the heart you bring to your leadership. Thank you for supporting your students and staff and giving so much of yourself to the Jones community and our Waller ISD family!

I still remember Mrs. Vinson as a first-year teacher at Turlington Elementary 11 years ago. Even then, her leadership potential was clear, and it didn’t take long to see that she had so much to offer our district. Since then, she has served as a Math Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and now Principal of Lowe Elementary. I have been blessed to work alongside Crystal throughout her journey, and I know firsthand how much she cares and how much of herself she puts into everything she does.
Mrs. Vinson is an innovative leader; creative, full of ideas, and always looking for ways to make things better for her students and staff. She is loyal to the core and takes care of her people, and that is something I have always appreciated about her. She expects great things from those around her, but she also knows how to bring fun and make people want to show up each day. As a proud Lowe Elementary Lion, Mrs. Vinson celebrates “Unleashing Greatness” because she sees what others are capable of and helps them see it, too.
Crystal, I am so proud of you. Thank you for the heart you put into your work and for all you do for your students, staff, and families. Lowe Elementary has so much to be proud of, and you are a big part of that!

Mrs. Sciba has given so much to our Waller ISD family, beginning as a classroom teacher at Roberts Road Elementary and continuing as an Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal at Holleman Elementary. Now, as the Principal of our newest campus, Cure Elementary, she is helping write a new chapter in our district’s story, and I am so proud of her.
Opening a school comes with countless decisions and responsibilities, and I appreciate the care Mrs. Sciba puts into bringing her students, staff, and families together. She is helping create the first memories and traditions that will make Cure a special place for years to come. What I appreciate most is that her message to work hard, be kind, and make every day count keeps the focus on the people she serves and the difference they can make together.
Mrs. Sciba, you have so much to be proud of, and I hope you take a moment to recognize all you have contributed throughout your journey. Thank you for the heart, time, and energy you pour into your school community. I am grateful to have you on our elementary leadership team and proud to celebrate you as you lead your pack toward greatness. You are giving your students, staff, and families every reason to be “Coyote Proud”!
