Today at chapel, we kicked off our new series, Backpack Blessings, with a powerful reminder:

📖 Bible Story: God Helps His People — Judges 4

This week, our Preschool & PreK students discovered that God graciously invites ordinary people to be part of His amazing plans, not because we are perfect or have everything figured out, but because He is faithful to equip and help us. We talked about how being brave doesn’t mean we never feel scared—it means we can trust God with those feelings, trust Him to help us take the next step, and use what He has given us as we step into new adventures.

We’re so excited to fill their “backpacks” with truth, faith, courage, and blessings as we continue this series! 🎒🙏

We haven't figured out who surprised us with this dreamy Book Nook from our Amazon Wishlist... but whoever you are, **THANK YOU!** 🤍📚

It has already become a favorite spot in our Pre-K classroom, and our little readers have been enjoying cozy story times, independent reading, and quiet moments together. Seeing gifts like this being loved and used every single day means so much to us.

Two years ago, we launched a dream.
A dream to build a childcare center from the ground up that would truly serve the children and families in our community.
There were so many unknowns, long days, hard decisions, and moments where we simply had to trust the process. Building something from scratch isn't easy—but it's always been worth it in order to serve a need in our community.
As we have arrived on our 2nd Birthday, we're overwhelmed with gratitude.
To every family who trusted us with your most precious gift—your children—thank you.
To everyone who supported us, encouraged us, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, prayed for us, and cheered us on along the way—thank you.
And to our incredible Awaken Childcare staff, thank you for believing in the vision and showing up each day with love, patience, and dedication. You are the heart of what we do.
What started as a dream has become a place filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and so many beautiful memories.
We're so thankful to be a small part of this community, and we can't wait to see what the years ahead have in store.

🛒👩‍🍳 Learning has never tasted so sweet!

Our Pre-K friends have been exploring all things **grocery stores and cooking** this week! Before heading into the kitchen, they practiced making choices by voting on which no-bake recipe they wanted to make. 🗳️

Once the votes were counted, it was time to roll up their sleeves! They followed the recipe step by step, measured ingredients, took turns adding sprinkles, and discovered how working together creates something special.

And the best part? Getting to enjoy the delicious treat they made all by themselves! 😋

Hands-on experiences like these build so much more than cooking skills—they encourage early math, following directions, teamwork, communication, and confidence.

We love watching our little chefs learn, create, and celebrate their hard work! ❤️🍴
