Serving Others Through Giving!

New Hope Christian Academy’s new Student Government spent time today packing bags for the Duplin County Schools Special Needs Basketball Game.

Our students chose to use their August Blessing Jar offering to bless other children. What a wonderful example of giving, serving, and putting others first!

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve these amazing athletes and teach our students that leadership is about serving others.

Chapel is always a special time at NHCA!

Today, our guest speaker Mr. Bill asked our students an important question: WWJD—What Would Jesus Do? We loved seeing him in his vintage NHCA Lions shirt! He has always been a fan of our school, and the kids always enjoy having him around!

Our prayer team prayed with students who had needs, while others simply wanted a quiet moment with God. One student even stopped to pray for Mr. Bill! What a beautiful reminder of the heart of a child.

Students also received Congratulations slips for tests completed this week, and we celebrated Fast Food Friday with pizza and fellowship!

What a wonderful way to end the week and begin Labor Day weekend!

We are thankful for a great day at NHCA!

There is nothing like a former Kindergarten teacher stopping by to bless our staff with chocolate from Ashley’s Kitchen! Mrs. Etha Pate, those pencils look amazing!

Years may have passed, but the memories are still there. The students who remember her had the biggest smiles and were so excited to give her hugs.

It is always so special to see those who have poured their lives into this ministry and continue to stay connected.

Thank you for stopping by and reminding us that the impact you make on a child’s life lasts for years!

Granny Goodword in Chapel!

A little fun in Chapel today as Granny Goodword came to deliver a Goodword to our children!

Through laughter, fun, and an object lesson, the children were reminded that life can take us through some hard places, but we never walk through them alone. God is with us!

God is our strength and our protector when those darts of life are thrown at us.

Isaiah 43:2 (KJV):

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Dear New Hope Christian Academy Parents,
We want to address an article that is currently circulating regarding an individual who was arrested after being on the New Hope premises.
First and foremost, New Hope Christian Academy was not involved in or responsible for this arrest, nor were we aware of the individual’s criminal status at the time of the incident. He was not arrested on our property. The individual did not enter our school building and had no contact with any of our students. It is unlawful for a registered s*x offender to be on a school campus, and we take that matter very seriously.
The individual arrived on the property at the same time as another woman. He stated that he had been told that the church had food help. The principal spoke to him and then he left the property.
The principal was the only person from our school who had contact with him, and that brief interaction occurred entirely outdoors. The individual never entered the school building and never had contact with our students.
We understand that seeing an article like this can understandably cause concern for our families. We want to reassure you that the safety and security of our students is always our highest priority. Our campus has security cameras in place, and we remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for every student entrusted to our care.
Thank you for your trust, support, and understanding.

FIRST WEEK COMPLETE!

How do you end a week of seeing new faces, learning new routines, and getting to know a new set of classmates?
POPSICLES & CHAPEL!

We wrapped up our very first week of the 2026–27 school year with a special Chapel service featuring Pastor Bracken as our guest speaker. His message focused on KINDNESS—a powerful reminder that how we treat others matters and that we can show God’s love through our words and actions.

And then came the most amazing part…
🙌 12 STUDENTS CAME FORWARD TO ACCEPT JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR!

What an incredible way to begin the new school year! We are praying that these decisions are the beginning of a lifelong walk with Christ.
One week down, and God is already moving!

We are excited to see what He has in store for our students, our staff, and our school family this year!
