While we are still four weeks away from welcoming the newest class of Warrior students, today we're celebrating Emma, a WWCC alum 💛🖤, who starts her first year as a second grade teacher.

We're so proud of you, Emma, and can't wait to hear how the school year goes! 👏🎉

Education: AA from Walla Walla Community College & BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Oregon University
MacHi Connection: She is a proud McLoughlin High School graduate! 🎓
Favorite Subject in School: Math
Favorite Ice Cream: Classic Vanilla 🍦
Fun Facts: She played two years of college basketball at WWCC and grew up locally on a wheat and cattle farm in the Walla Walla Valley! 🌾🏀
Hobbies: Spending time with friends and family, swimming, paddle boarding, and learning how to play golf! 🏊‍♀️🏌️‍♀️

Looking forward to the year: Emma is excited to meet new faces and build great relationships with her students and colleagues!

🎉Congratulations to Michelle Salazar Ortega ('26) who was selected as one of only 10 students nationwide for the Keith Sherin Global Leaders Program! 🌟

She will explore global sustainability, peace, and justice at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands this summer.

We're so proud of you, Michelle, for all you've accomplished and for carrying the Warrior legacy forward through your leadership, service, and commitment to your community.
