📚💛 Our First Hispanic Family Night! 💛📚
Tonight, we were excited to welcome families to our very first Hispanic Family Night of the 2026-2027 school year! It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, build connections, and share ways we can work as partners to support our students’ success! ❤️
Throughout the evening, we talked about the importance of building reading stamina and helping our students develop the confidence and perseverance to become stronger readers. We also shared information about DIBELS and how we use reading data to better understand students’ needs and celebrate their growth.
Families learned more about Dragonfly and IXL, two resources that can help support reading and learning both at school and at home. Our goal is to make sure families feel informed, empowered, and equipped with tools to support their children as learners.
Most importantly, tonight was about relationships, belonging, and partnership. We believe that when families and schools work together, amazing things can happen for our kids!
Thank you to everyone who helped make our first Hispanic Family Night possible and to the families who joined us. We are grateful that you are part of our Mountaineer family, and we look forward to many more opportunities to learn and grow together!
🖤💛 Ready, Set, HIKE!
