We need your help! We are collecting winter coats for Glade Valley Community Services. Please drop off coats by Nov 23 to our collection bin on the front porch. Coats should be new or gently used and free of rips and stains and ready to wear. All sizes welcome!

We are happy to see the law finally changed to best practices that we have known for a long time now! It is safest to rear-face your child for as long as possible-most car seats safely RF up to 40 pounds or more. Check your manual and call 301-600-SAFE to make an appointment to have your install checked by a CERTIFIED car seat technician.

On October 1st, Maryland Law is changing and children under two will be required to ride rear-facing. Worried about long legs in a rear-facing car seat? Don’t be! Rear-facing seats better protect the head, neck, and spine! Not to mention, leg injuries are pretty uncommon and are actually more likely to occur when our littles are forward-facing. Maryland Kids In Safety Seats is available to answer any questions you might have about this change.
