✨ Operation: This Place needs a FACELIFT ✨
We’re starting from the ground up… literally. 😂
First on the list: CARPETS. And judging by what that steam cleaner was pulling up, they have been patiently waiting for their moment. 😳🫣
Were they overdue for a steam cleaning? Yes.
How overdue? Mind your business. 😂
Every glow-up has to start somewhere, and apparently ours starts with extracting 10 years of crumbs, spilled apple juice, playground dirt, mystery substances and the ghosts of daycare past. 💀 Not really but ya’ll know these kids play hard and get dirty…you can just imagine how that water looked.
Next up on the glow-up tour: WE FINALLY HAVE AN OFFICE. 🙌🏻😂 A real one. An actual functioning office…which is kinda weird because my office was right here and looked wayyyyyy different when we officially opened 23 years ago.
But apparently when you run a child care center, you need a designated space to:�✨ Interview potential employees�✨ Meet with teachers and parents�✨ Meet with contractors about the 472 projects we’ve decided to start 🙃�✨ Take phone calls and handle paperwork�✨ Survive all these dang licensing visits
Sometimes you just need a door that closes. If you know, you know. 💀
So it might not be pretty yet but we have a place to hide—I MEAN, professionally conduct important administrative business. 💅🏻😂
And speaking of LICENSING… 👀
Y’all. WE HAD ANOTHER VISIT THIS WEEK.
At this point, I feel like they may need their own desk in our new office. 😂

The building may currently be in her “please excuse our appearance while we get our life together” era 😂… but behind the scenes, these girls are WORKING. We’re cleaning. We’re organizing. We’re improving. We’re meeting with people. We’re making lists that somehow create three more lists. Fixing things we’ve walked past 847 times and said, “We really need to do something about that.” 😂 We’re spending money like it personally offended us. 💀 And slowly but surely, we’re giving this place the love it has needed for a long time. Because our kids, families, and staff deserve a space that feels just as loved and cared for as they are. ❤️
We’re bringing y’all along for ALL of it — the good, the bad, the questionable decisions, the “well that escalated quickly” projects, and of course…THE BEFORE & AFTERS. 👏🏼
Will we regret starting some of these projects?
Absolutely.
Will we probably start six more before finishing the first one? Also absolutely. 😂
