There are three ways to vote on or before Tuesday, Nov. 3:
✅ Absentee ballot — available starting Friday, Sept. 18
✅ Early in person — beginning Friday, Oct. 16
✅ Election Day — Tuesday, Nov. 3, 7 a.m.–8 p.m. at your regular polling place

One more thing: the Wolfpack Plan questions may be on the back of your ballot, so don't forget to flip it over! 🔄 You will see two local referendum questions and a statewide school funding question - be sure to vote on all three!

🏆 WHA IS PROUD TO CELEBRATE TAD GRAVETT! 🏆

The Minnesota Educational Facilities Management Professionals Association (MASMS) presents a State Facility Professional of the Year Award each year, recognizing a school district facilities professional who demonstrates exceptional leadership, professionalism, and service to their district, community, and the facilities profession.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Tad Gravett has been named the 2026 MASMS State Facility Professional of the Year! 🎉

For the past 22 years, 311 days, 4 hours, 33 minutes, and 12 seconds (give or take a few 😉), Tad has been taking care of WHA. And when we say taking care of WHA, we mean it.

Tad is the person who keeps our buildings running, solves the problems nobody else knows how to fix, steps in whenever something goes wrong, and somehow always seems to know what needs to be done next. His dedication, knowledge, hard work, and willingness to do whatever it takes have made an incredible impact on our school district.

Quite simply, WHA would not be the same without Tad. 💙

💵 What would the Wolfpack Plan cost — and why now?

Question 1: $0 tax impact for local homeowners, seasonal property owners and area businesses. Question 2: About $4/month ($49/year) on a $400,000 home — only if both questions pass.

So why ask now? WHA operated with a $573,000 deficit in its fund balance this past school year. The Wolfpack Plan is designed to bring back state funding already paid on seasonal properties in our area, helping build a stronger financial foundation for our schools — without asking residents to carry it alone.

📊 Why is WHA considering an operating levy now?

Like many Minnesota districts, WHA is facing real financial pressure. The district operated with a $573,000 deficit in its fund balance during the 2025-26 school year — and without additional revenue, maintaining current programs, staff and student activities becomes harder each year.

At the same time, a new state program creates an opportunity to bring funding home from seasonal recreational properties in our area — helping build a stronger financial foundation without placing the full burden on year-round taxpayers.
