The LPPS Transportation Department will offer the Louisiana Department of Education School Bus Driver Training Class beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, at 8:30 AM in the Transportation Conference Room. The class will be held June 1-5 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Come work with us!

Today, our 2026 Football team honored Coach Cox for his work as WJHS Head Coach in the last season. Coach Cox worked hard to rebuild the WJHS program, and lead the team to a 5-2 record this year. Coaches and players all signed a game jersey and presented it to him today as a thank you for all his hard work. Coach Daniels, the new Head Coach at South Fork Junior High, hopes to build on this year's success and looks forward to another great season of football with our team in the fall.

Today, 5th graders from South Fork Elementary and South Walker Elementary met with our Principal, Mr. Watts, and our School Counselor, Ms. Cavalier, at South Fork Junior High to learn about SFJH and what to expect as 6th graders in the fall. These students are the first students to enter and visit our brand new campus. We are so excited they will be joining us as South Fork Junior High Broncos in the fall! We also would like to shoutout Mr. Perez and the jazz band for speaking to and performing for these students today.

If your student attended this 5th grade meeting today, they should have brought home a flyer with info about next year on it, including a QR code that sends them to a link for scheduling elective classes.

‼️‼️ REMINDER ‼️‼️

Student issued laptops AND chargers will be picked up and checked back in this week during ELA classes, starting with 6th grade students on Tuesday, May 12th. There should be no stickers or personalizations on the laptop. Please have students remove any stickers they may have added before returning.

Also, all library books were due on Friday May 8th. Please ask your students to bring them to school to return ASAP if they still have any at home.
