Thank you to the 103 Walhalla Middle and High School students who came out to our August Chapter meeting. It was an incredible night as we welcomed back our students, shared our Program of Activities, and enjoyed a night of fellowship and food.

A big congratulations to Kamdyn Kelly for being selected as our member of the month! Her leadership in the Aquaponics committee and in the classroom is outstanding! We are thankful for her leadership and dedication!

Exciting Announcement!

Our Greenhouse is officially apart of the Certified South Carolina grown program (Certified South Carolina). This means that you will be able to find us on Oconee Counties list of local growers on the South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s website @ https://certifiedsc.com/csc-member/walhalla-high-school-ffa-greenhouse/

Our RazorGreens Aquaponics care team (pictured below) looks forward to sharing the results of their hard work soon! Be sure to check us out (and other local farms) and support local agricultural producers.

Last night our members attended the Oconee County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting at the FARM Center. We would like to thank Farm Bureau for their support of agricultural education programs and supporting farmers throughout the county.

It was a hot day, but the gravel pad for our new Greenhouse is officially installed! The concrete entrance will be poured at a later date before we begin putting up the structure.

It has been a great start to the semester for our classes!

- Construction of our new Propagation Greenhouse started today! All of our classes pitched in to help grade the foundation.
- Floriculture tried their hand at making their first floral arrangements.
- We delivered succulents from our Greenhouse to Walhalla Middle’s Agriculture Program.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance is working through Tool ID as they prepare for their Small Engine teardown labs.
- Agricultural Mechanics completed their shop maps and will finish up their safety unit before we start welding next week.

We are proud of our students and their hard work these first few days of school.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the WHS Freshmen Rally and Open House Night! We enjoyed getting to talk with students and parents! We are excited for this year and can’t wait to see everyone on Tuesday for the first day of school!

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the WHS Freshmen Rally!

📣 Attention Razorback Freshmen & Parents! 🐗
We are excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to Walhalla High School at our Freshman Rally on Thursday, July 30, at 6:30 PM in WHS commons!
The evening will begin with an informational session for both students and parents. Parents will receive important information to help prepare for the school year, while freshmen will meet with members of the Razorback Student Government, who will share what a typical day at Walhalla High School is like, offer helpful tips, and answer questions from a student perspective.
Afterward, students will rejoin their parents to:
Meet their teachers
Learn about clubs, organizations, and extracurricular opportunities
Get familiar with the school and prepare for a successful first year as a Razorback
This is a great opportunity to get connected, ask questions, and start the school year with confidence. We look forward to seeing all of our newest Razorbacks and their families on July 30 at 6:30 PM!
