Popsicle sticks are the best! We have some *very* low temp hot glue guns, and we teach the kids how to use them safely/properly. They had so much fun making all sorts of creations! We had some bows/arrows (even a compound bow!), people, magic wands and all sorts of different shapes. We also had a birthday in class and the kids had lots of fun with some yummy cow cupcakes.

Today was great! One of our preschool moms has an ultrasound machine to ultrasound goats! She brought her machine down and checked to see if the two does are pregnant. They are! And the preschoolers got to see the babies moving on the screen 🥰 such a cool experience!

We also made snow volcanoes today! Honestly it was a bit anti-climactic because of our lack of snow 😅 the preschoolers had a hard time forming the volcanoes, and they kept breaking their cups 😂 I didn’t get very many pictures or videos because it was quite the circus lol, but they had fun!

Today was a blast! The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. We made a campfire and roasted bread on a stick! We used whole wheat and even the pickiest eaters loved it! Nothing like warm bread when your hands are chilly. mix all the ingredients together and then twist it onto the end of a stick or roaster and cook until golden. The kids also found Mr Nicholes measuring wheel so I showed them how it works and we walked around the yard measuring things. Haha I think we need one of our own 😂 so much fun!

We have had so much fun the last few weeks at school! The first week back we had fun learning about the winter sky and did our own paintings of the sky. The next week we finally got some snow! The kids loved playing icicle shop, we spent a little time inside for the 2nd hour of classes, and had fun reading “the Mitten” and making our own mittens/animals!

How many preschoolers can fit on the four wheeler? 😂 Mr Nicholes left the four wheeler parked in the preschool area and I think the kids are going to be disappointed when it’s gone 😂 (dont worry, the key isn’t in it, we know some of these kids know how to start a four wheeler so we made sure to put the key up lol). we also have some new additions at preschool! These cute goats were donated and the kids have been obsessed with taking care of them! They love to fill up the sled with hay, and feed them, brush them, and pet them! They are seriously so sweet and gentle, the perfect addition tor the kids at school!

Denmark! Miss Kira taught us all about her family traditions from Denmark. She showed us the flag, and the kids got to make their own ornaments that looks similar to the flag. She also brought some really yummy rice pudding that is traditional from her grandmother who lived in Denmark. She also taught the kids about a fun tradition they have where at her party they put a peeled almond in the pot of rice pudding. If you get the peeled almond in your cup, you get a special gift! We didn’t have a peeled almond in our pudding at school but the kids thought that was cool and they really enjoyed the yummy pudding (again so fun to see them bravely trying new foods!)

This was such a fun day! Miss Marisa taught us about Germany. Then the preschoolers got to make their own gingerbread houses which was a huge hit! Miss Marisa also brought a special warm spiced apple cider drink which is traditional in Germany and the kids loved it. It was fun to see them try something that they had it before. They were so brave and really ended up loving it!

December was such a fun month! We spent the two weeks before Christmas break learning about other countries and their traditions. The week of December 13 we had lots of fun learning about Santa Lucia day in Sweden. Lusia visited preschool and passed out warm rolls and hot chocolate. We talked about how Lucia was a light and showed kindness to ours and came up with our own ways that we can show kindness to others as well. We had two Lucia’s at school because once Addy saw me in my costume she wanted to join in too 😍
