Friday is pizza day at Primrose Path! And since it's so hot, we are letting the kids make their own. They each get a street taco tortilla, pizza sauce (1/8c or 1/4c depending on age), shredded cheese (1oz or 1.5oz depending on age), and green peppers (1/8c or 1/4c depending on age). The kids then get to choose if they want to put it all together, just put a few toppings on, or eat it all separately. Fun, yummy, and filling!

Primrose Path Daycare and Preschool serves breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. We follow food patterns monotored by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which also follows USDA standards.

Breakfast always consists of milk, a grain (cereal, toast, pancakes), and a fruit or vegetable.

Lunch always consists of milk, a protein (chicken, cheese, beef, beans), a grain (crackers, bread, croutons), a vegetable, and a fruit OR two vegetables served separately.

Snack is two components chosen from milk, a protein, a grain, a vegetable, or a fruit.

Today's lunch was a salad made with lettuce that was topped with canned chicken and cheese with ranch dressing, diced tomatoes, and croutons, along with their cup of milk.

It's the first official school day here at Primrose Path, even though we are open all year. We moved some kids into the next class up and have some new friends joining us for their first day of school ever! We hope everyone has a great first day and a fantastic year full of learning and fun.

Primrose Path Daycare and Preschool in Waldron welcomes children in our toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten rooms on a drop-in basis. Cost is $30 per day. Your child will get to interact with other children their age, take part in our learning activities, and explore the outdoors (weather permitting).

This is perfect for a stay-at-home parent who needs to attend an appointment, a family who regularly use a babysitter that needs a day off, or anyone who just needs a day here and there for their child to socialize and get used to an all-day routine before they go to Kindergarten.

Meet the director!

My name is Danielle Stover. I have been working in childcare for 14 years, 7 of those in a home daycare and 7 in a center.

Before I decided to work in daycare, I got a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR. I then interned in a professional theatre in Maryland. I've recently been in some shows at Fort Smith Little Theatre and plan to volunteer there more. In addition to theatre, I enjoy reading and hanging out with my 5 cats (Tubby pictured).

I love spending time with all the kids in the center and helping them with all the little learning moments they encounter every day. Making sure kids have a safe and fun place to spend the day while their parents are working is the most important thing to me.

It has been brought to our attention that someone in the community has been making unfounded accusations against Primrose Path Daycare and Preschool. This person did call the Maltreatment and Abuse Hotline to turn us in. We were interviewed and gave evidence that we had done all we were required to do to document incidents within the center. We have been told the case is closed.

Still, this person, who works in one of the stores in town, is still telling people we harmed her child. We did terminate this person after the accusations were originally reported because we knew they didn’t feel comfortable here. This person made it known they had intended to return their child to our care.

We are very upset that this person has made these false accusations and continues to spread them even after people have told her they bring their children and trust us with their care. It is even more disheartening that this person would do this in their place of employment that is frequented by several members of the community.

In our center we have staff who have been in childcare for over 20 years and have been doing all the work we can to make a successful business. Our goal has always been to make sure children and families feel safe and cared for and that children have the best possible day. With someone spreading unfounded rumors, it makes it difficult for us to feel we are doing the best we can.

We ask that anyone who hears this person saying anything against us to speak up to them and let them know that you feel differently. We also ask that any person who has had a child in our care at any time and had a positive experience to share that experience either on this post or on your Facebook feed.

Now Enrolling!

We have two full time spaces available and one part time space available (Tuesday-Thursday) in our baby room (4 weeks to 18 months).

$103 per week. School Readiness Assistance (vouchers) accepted. Staff are highly qualified to care for and love on your baby.

We are also starting the waiting list for fall enrollment in our preschool (3 years old) and pre-kindergarten (4 years old) classrooms.
