WHAT IT MEANS TO ...

Sometimes, being a Bulldog has nothing to do with what happens on the field. On Friday night in Mena, Bentley Cox showed us exactly what it means to .

Long after the football game was over and the crowd had gone home, Bentley stayed behind. He didn’t wait for someone to ask. He didn’t do it because he expected recognition. He walked through the entire visitor bleachers and hand-picked up the trash—all of it. ELEVEN LOADS WORTH.

He did it because it was the right thing to do. Because he takes pride in his school. Because he understands that being a Bulldog means taking care of your community and representing Waldron with character, even when nobody is watching.

Today, Principal Josh Atchley and Athletic Director Chris Lipham had the opportunity to recognize Bentley for his actions by treating him to a flat iron from Charbroiler Restaurant

But the real reward is knowing that young men like Bentley are helping show the rest of us what it means to Fly the W. Join us in celebrating Bentley Cox for being the kind of Bulldog we can all be proud of!

WHS Seniors - males

Federal law requires nearly all male U.S. Citizens and male immigrants to register with the selective service at age 18. By registering, a young man remains eligible for jobs, state-based student aid and employment.

Failure to register may cause issues with filing the FAFSA and/or receiving scholarships. Most college applications ask if a student has registered.

Online registration is quick and easy.
Required information: Full name, home address, date of birth and social security number.

Due to Meta's limit on posts with links, please search "register for selective service".

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Waldron High School will begin the school day at the football stadium this morning due to a strong odor detected inside the building. Out of an abundance of caution, we are keeping students and staff out of the building while we work to determine the source. We will provide an update as soon as we identify the cause and determine when it is safe to return to the building. The safety of our students and staff will always remain our #1 priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
