🎶💃📚 Vibing and Learning in Dual Language! 📚🕺🎶

Who says learning syllables can’t be a vibe? 😎🌟 Students in Mrs. Alequin’s 2nd Grade Dual-Language classroom were learning the Spanish syllables ce–ci through music, movement, and lots of energy!

Students listened, sang along, and danced to a video while practicing the sounds and syllables ce and ci. 🎵👏 Combining movement with literacy practice made learning engaging, memorable, and FUN!

We love seeing our bilingual learners building their Spanish foundational literacy skills while actively participating and enjoying the learning process. 🗣️📖💙💛

¿Quién dijo que aprender las sílabas no puede tener ritmo? 😎🌟 Los estudiantes de 2.º grado del salón de Lenguaje Dual de Mrs. Alequin estuvieron aprendiendo las sílabas en español ce–ci a través de la música, el movimiento y ¡mucha energía!

Los estudiantes escucharon, cantaron y bailaron al ritmo de un video mientras practicaban los sonidos y las sílabas ce y ci. 🎵👏 ¡Combinar el movimiento con la práctica de la lectoescritura hizo que el aprendizaje fuera dinámico, memorable y DIVERTIDO!

🌎🎒🌟 Our Bilingual Learners Are Blossoming! 🌟🎒🌎

We are so excited to celebrate Thiago, a Kindergarten student in Ms. Veizaga and Ms. Parra-Quezada's class, who proudly presented his “All About Me” bag as part of our September Family Project! 💙💛

The best part? Thiago presented his entire project in Spanish! 🗣️🇵🇷

As he shared the special items in his bag with his classmates, Thiago practiced using Spanish to speak in complete thoughts, build vocabulary, communicate with an audience, and share important things about himself. What a wonderful example of authentic language learning in action! 🌱📚

Family projects like this provide meaningful opportunities for our students to connect home, school, language, and identity while building confidence as bilingual learners. 🏠❤️🏫

💙💛🦉 Starting the Day with Connection and Choice! 🦉💛💙

What a wonderful way to start the school day in Mrs. Byers’ Kindergarten classroom! 🌟

Mrs. Byers greeted each of her students at the door, but with a special twist—students got to choose how they wanted to be greeted! ❤️🙌

Using a greeting choice board, students could select the greeting that made them feel most comfortable and welcomed. Giving students a voice and choice in something as simple as a morning greeting helps build relationships, confidence, belonging, and a positive classroom community. 🌱🤝

These small moments of connection can make a BIG difference! 💕 Thank you, Mrs. Byers, for making sure your kindergarten students begin their day feeling seen, valued, and ready to learn! 📚✨

Our young bilingual learners in Mrs. Saguid’s Kindergarten classroom were busy beginning their brand-new Spanish Alphabet Journals! ✏️📚💛

Students are starting to explore the Spanish alphabet, letter sounds, vocabulary, and beginning writing skills as they create a journal they will continue building throughout the year. Each new letter is another step toward becoming confident bilingual and biliterate learners! 🗣️📖

We love seeing our kindergarten students excited about learning, writing, and discovering new words in Spanish! 🌟 These foundational literacy experiences help our students build the skills they need to read, write, and communicate successfully in both languages.

Our Pre-K students are already growing their Spanish skills while building a strong classroom community! 🌱❤️

Today, students sang together in Spanish to learn each other’s names. 🎵🗣️ Through music, repetition, and lots of smiles, our youngest bilingual learners practiced Spanish while getting to know their new classmates.

These simple moments are so powerful! Singing helps our students develop listening skills, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence, and a sense of belonging—all while making language learning FUN! 🌟

What a beautiful way to begin their bilingual learning journey: connecting with one another through language! 🌎🤝
