We have spirit, yes we DO!!!!! And we have all of the excitement for our Warriors returning tomorrow! We sold enough Warrior gear to warrant a reorder but don’t worry, we still have plenty left!!! Order forms for spirit wear will be going home with students tomorrow! Be sure to place your order this week. If we have the items in stock, we will send it home right away. No orders will be placed without pre-pay (no praxi please). Cash or check accepted. These buttons, lanyards, and stickers are such a fun start to our school year! Can you tell which stickers had the most hype at back to school??? We love our Coach Westbrook. We only have a few of those left! 💙🩵

Crewnecks are only offered in our TA wave sweatshirts at this time. We have navy, gray, or white colors in youth small, med, large. Adults small-3xl available.

For our Warrior mascot hoodies and tshirts, same sizes as above offered in Columbia blue for now. Indicate what color you would like in the comments if you have an idea you would like to share!

We wrapped up a VERY busy week this week with some large projects yet again this summer. It’s been so great to see the outpouring of our community to help us make the much needed improvements to our campus. Rickmond General Contracting completed a large project. While the bigger goal is to secure more space to move our buses from out front, in the immediate future RGC created a parking solution for our buses and spent days excavating and installing better drainage in front of our upper school. They also delivered on doing some concrete work to install a handicap accessible ramp. Come and see the wonderful additions! 💙🤍

The day has come!!! After planning the installation of a brand NEW state of the art weight room and new bathroom, all of our branded equipment has arrived. We could NOT be more impressed with this stately equipment from BSN Sports. They exceeded our expectations! Roudabush Group Branding installed our wall murals and captured the details. Relay Electric replaced our lighting making it bright and clean. Roger and Sons completed a paint refresh making our equipment stand out. And Ivor Furniture company most notably FLOORED us (did you see what I did there??? 🤣) with beautiful new weight room grade rolled mats in our school colors. Our athletes and staff are ready to have a place where they can decompress and get strong!!💪 Mrs. Monahan and Mrs. Pitts wanted to catch a little workout post training session.

TOMORROW EVENING IS THE BIG EVENT! We are so excited to welcome our Warriors back for our Back To School Night starting at 5pm. Don't forget if your child plays a fall sport, there is a mandatory athletics meeting from 7-8pm. Don't forget to bring your school supplies and an appetite!

What an amazing day and HUGE opportunity for our school!! We met with one of the regional sales reps for Bluebird Buses and purchased 1 of 4 items for our updated transportation fleet. We have had to retire some of our old buses and sell them to make room for this Bluebird Bus. She’s a beauty!! The BRAND new bus is a 2028 with AC and all of the reliability and safety our students at Tidewater Academy deserve. The contract is signed and it will be on campus in December once they finish manufacturing this. We are also adding one gently used, low mileage bus and two like new 15 passenger vans. We are appreciative of our donors and families that make these things happen for our students. Our students deserve the best! 🩵💙

Head of school update:
We have had a most productive and busy summer!!!! One week from today we will welcome back all of our Warriors and their family! We just enrolled 11 new students this week alone! We have a lot going on and are super excited to share what the hustle is around here today:
1. BSN sports is here setting up our state of the art weight room for our warrior athletes and students taking fitness and nutrition.
2. Jones Construction, Relay Electric, and Nathan Jones Plumbing are finishing the complete remodel on our 60 year old middle school bathrooms.
3. Schultz Landscaping is here refreshing our mulch and trees.
4. Rickmond General Contracting is here excavating and improving our land to improve our drainage and curbside appeal.
5. Clean By Kimberly is here prepping supplies and closets as our new full time contracted cleaning agency.
6. New reading and writing curriculum has arrived from Harcourt for grades K-5th grade.
7. The entire Lower school has been repainted by Roger and Sons painting.
8. K Buck Studios is completing a beautiful interior wall mural that captures of the heart of the professions in our community.

There are many more surprises coming down the line so stay tuned!! Current families, bring a potential new family to earn a referral bonus if they sign their child up. Don’t forget it’s tax free weekend so get your school supplies for next week. Back to School Night is 8/13/26 at 5pm. We can’t wait to see you!!
