Fall Town Day will take place on Saturday,September 26th!

The Wakefield Recreation Department will be hosting a Co****le Tournament this year. Teams consist of 2 players, one of whom must be at least 18 years of age. Registration is free. Only one player per team is required to register. Pre-Registration will be available online until Wednesday, 9/23. Pre-Registration is required

On Town Day, teams should arrive on the Town Common for check in and bracket assignments. Games will begin promptly after registration/check-in.

Note: If our Town Day event is rescheduled due to weather and moved to the September 27 rain date, the Co****le Tournament will not take place.

SNL Fall Flag Football

The mission is to provide the youth of Wakefield with an opportunity to experience the positive social and athletic benefits of flag football. We aim to have fun playing the great game of flag football in a safe environment that will help kids learn about physical activity and the proper skills required to play the game. Developing character and sportsmanship are also top priorities.

There will be practice time before each game. This time will enable coaches to work on skills and schemes that will be used in games. Teams will consist of 8-10 players and, in the interest of keeping teams balanced, no team requests will be honored .

A game shirt and a mouth guard will be provided to each participant. Mouth guards must be worn by all players at all times.

Week 4 is going great!!! We have been outside a lot playing sports, we had tic tac toe races, we’ve done a lot of face painting and made self portraits!

Week 3 is so much fun! We made a banner for our end of the year art show, played lots of games outside, made chocolate yogurt dip with fruit and pretzels in kids test kitchen and did some awesome face paint!

Camp Rec had a fun day celebrating the World Cup! We all wore the colors of the team we wanted to win and voted, it was very close, Argentina- 47 and Spain 44!

We had an amazing Wednesday at camp! We made an edamame salad in kids test kitchen, we played kickball and drew minions!

Today we had so much fun playing world cup, musical chairs and painting!

A great start to Rec Camp week 1! We played board games during the rain, learned how to make smoothie bowls with kids test kitchen, made world cup jersey drawings, played with the parachute and had lots of fun playing soccer!

WARRIOR WEEK CLINIC IS HERE!

Calling all Wakefield kids entering Grades 1–8! Whether you already play football, play another sport, or have never stepped on a football field before, this clinic is for YOU.

Come spend three nights learning from the Wakefield Memorial High School coaching staff, current players, and Wakefield Youth Football coaches while building athletic skills, confidence, teamwork, and leadership in a fun, positive environment.

Open to ALL Wakefield students entering Grades 1–8
• No football experience required
• Train with high school coaches and players
• Make new friends and have fun this summer
• Get a taste of what the Warrior tradition is all about
