Cystic Fibrosis Parent Education Group

We provide Educational Workshops for Parents and Caregivers of those with Cystic Fibrosis and for in Due to COVID-19, all events are currently virtual.

Our group is organized by parents and caregivers of children/adolescents with CF, along with adults with CF who are interested in learning more about the myriad aspects of the disease or who are interesting in maintaining their continuing education about changes in approaches and or treatments for aspects of Cystic Fibrosis. Since 2016, we have hosted workshops every-other-month for CF families in the NC Triangle. We invite anyone affected by CF to participate in our no-fee workshops!

Our recent workshop on "Speaking Up and Asserting Your Expertise" taught a process for developing an advocacy plan and skills in speaking up for your child and family.

There will be times when you need to speak up for your child's rights or care needs, and it can be difficult to challenge what medical professionals are telling you.
