HMS will have 3 teachers retire this year.

Today, we celebrate an incredible educator, mentor, and champion for students as we recognize Mrs. Falwell (7th grade track 1 Science)on her retirement.

Those who know Mrs. Falwell know that she is someone who listens, supports, and gives wholeheartedly to both students and colleagues. She has been a source of wisdom, positivity, and inspiration, and her presence will be deeply missed.

While we are sad to see her leave, we are excited for the adventures that retirement will bring. Thank you, Mrs. Falwell, for your years of service, dedication, and love for children. Your legacy will continue to live on through the many lives you have touched.

TONIGHT!!!! May 28 at 6 pm, is our rising 6th-grade Open House! We look forward to seeing and meeting our new Patriots!!! It's going to be a fun evening ☺️!!!!

FULL HOUSE at Heritage High School tonight for our chorus concert! What an incredible evening celebrating the talent of our students. We had so many people in attendance that we had to host the performance at the high school and even then, we filled the space up!

Our chorus students were absolutely amazing, and under the direction of Dr. Strutt, their strengths and talents truly shined. She has created an environment where students feel confident, supported, and empowered to let their light shine on stage.

As a former math teacher, I especially loved the song that included multiplication facts — proof that math really IS everywhere! 😊

What stood out most tonight was not just the talent, but the way our students cheered for one another, supported one another, and represented our school so positively. We are so proud of each and every one of them. What a special night for our Heritage community!

Wake County school board will vote this evening on calendar changes for 8 year-round schools. Heritage Elementary & Heritage Middle are proposed for conversion to traditional calendar. Stay tuned!

Last night, one of our incredible students, Matthew, was recognized at the WCPSS Board of Education, "Spotlight on Students" celebration. This event is a special honor that highlights students who demonstrate perseverance, growth, and a strong commitment to their learning. Matthew’s joyful attitude, perseverance, and caring nature make him a valued member of the classroom and HMS, and his continued growth reflects his strong character and commitment to learning. Congratulations!!!!
