Our Community Giving Garden Schedule

St. John's invites you, your children, and loved ones to the Wake Forest Presbyterian Church Community Giving Garden the second Saturday of each month. We will go through October 10th, between the hours of 8:30 AM - 11 AM, you get to decide the time and amount of love you want to donate to this wonderful community garden and as temperatures and weather permits, especially in the summer. The community giving garden is located at Wake Forest Presbyterian Church, 12605 Capital Blvd, Wake Forest. No sign-up is required—just show up, everyone is welcome, including young families, grandparents with grandchildren, teenagers, and seniors. Larry is the master gardener and is great to work with in learning about the garden.

Volunteers assist with tasks such as watering, weeding, planting, and harvesting, with wonderful learning opportunities for children. Gardening tools are provided on-site, and the picked produce is donated to local organizations, such as Triangle Area Ministries and the Wake Forest Community Table, hence the name the Community Giving Garden.

What to Wear: Seasonal clothing, closed-toe shoes, hats (encouraged)

What to Bring: Water bottle, work gloves, sunscreen and insect repellent

We hope you will join us for a season of gardening and community building. Mark your calendar -- bring a family, friend from church or your neighborhood. That is a wrap on this school year!

This week, our threes and fours celebrated with movie day, a popsicles and playground day, and pizza day.
