Franklin Academy was founded in 1998 as one of North Carolina’s first 100 Charter Schools.
The Franklin Academy Charter School (#FACS) began in 1998 as a Public Charter School serving kindergarten through fifth grade. Since then, we have added sixth through twelfth grade and more than doubled our student population. We are one of the largest and oldest operating charter schools in the state.
