The Franklin Academy Charter School ( ) began in 1998 as a Public Charter School serving kindergarten through fifth grade. Since then, we have added sixth through twelfth grade and more than doubled our student population. We are one of the largest and oldest operating charter schools in the state.
consists of three campuses. Franklin Street Campus - Grades K-2, Chalk Road
Campus - Grades 3-8, and Flaherty Avenue Campus - Grades 9-12. We believe that all students deserve a safe, supportive, structured and orderly learning environment. We encourage appropriate behavior through the implementation of high expectations consistently held in all classrooms throughout our school which are supported and enforced through teaching, guiding, directing and providing opportunities for new learning to occur. We create opportunities for students to practice and succeed in making responsible effective choices in order to reach their academic and personal goals while being a productive member of the school community.
