One night + five House Bands + one superstar = absolutely unmatched East Coast energy!

House Bands from School of Rock Watertown, School of Rock Natick, School of Rock Burlington, MA, School of Rock Northborough, and School of Rock Nashua joined together for an epic multi-school showcase, putting on a spectacular night of live music, community, and pure rock 'n' roll energy at Taffeta Music Hall. For many of the House Band students and school staff, this event marked the first time they had ever met, making the supportive and unifying musical experience one of the most fulfilling highlights of the School of Rock season.

Adding to the excitement was special guest Frank Zummo, School of Rock’s 2026 Community Impact Award winner and a longtime friend of the program. After the House Bands warmed up the crowd with blistering opening sets, Frank took the stage for an inspiring, 30-minute Q&A session. The event then culminated in an epic finale where Frank jumped behind the kit to play two songs with each school, sharing the stage with the House Band drummers for a massive double-drumming experience. He truly served as the glue for the entire evening, generously taking photos, signing autographs, and making every young musician feel seen and appreciated. Thank you, Frank! 🤘

Different notes. Same harmony. 🏳️‍🌈

At School of Rock, we know that the best music comes from a mix of different voices, styles, and backgrounds. This Pride Month, we are celebrating our incredible LGBTQIA+ students, instructors, staff, and families who bring their unique rhythm and authentic selves to our community every single day.

Rock & roll has always been about breaking boundaries and being unapologetically yourself. So turn it up, play it loud and celebrate who you are! Music is for everyone. ✨

Happy International Drum Month! 🥁

The modern drum kit is a masterpiece of American innovation that traces its roots back to the busy port city of New Orleans. Originally, different percussionists played the bass drum, snare, and cymbals separately until economic constraints forced a single musician to do it all. This "one-person" necessity birthed the "trap kit," leading to game-changing inventions that allowed drummers to involve all four limbs for the very first time.

As music transitioned from Jazz to Rock and Roll, the gear had to keep up with the volume. In the 1950s, the introduction of synthetic Mylar drumheads replaced traditional animal skins, allowing legends like Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich to play with the power and durability required for the rock revolution. This evolution paved the way for iconic setups, from John Bonham’s massive Ludwig shells to Neil Peart’s legendary "Moving Pictures" kit.

Whether you’re playing a "1-up, 1-down" minimalist setup or a double-bass powerhouse, this month we celebrate the engine of the band. Pick up your sticks and help us keep the beat!

We're rocking the world, one school and country at a time!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce a massive milestone: School of Rock has officially opened its 450th global location, and it’s our very first school in Germany! Say "Hallo" to School of Rock Candidplatz in Munich!

From day one, our mission has been to enrich lives through performance-based music education. Now, not only are we bringing that passion to a whole new country, but to 450 locations across the world. From the United States to South Africa, Australia to Spain, our amazing community of owners, music directors, general managers, and teachers have told us what 450 means to them. Common themes of community, connection, passion, and the commitment to our mission of changing and enriching students' lives worldwide show that while we might be spread over continents and countries, we are one big School of Rock.

Thank you to all of our parents, students, instructors, owners, and employees worldwide - the community we've built would not be possible without each of you.
