Our 1st graders hosted their own vendor and buyers' market within their class! They did a great job and are looking forward to our Casa Creativity Fair next year!

Ms. Koehler's 5th and 6th grade art students focused on one specific element of art last year: color.

For this task, they were asked to make a tube out of a toilet paper roll covered in tinfoil and then use their creativity to come up with their own unique color and color name. The name needed to be descriptive and interesting: there were some great ones! (Cheeto Fingers, Mango Smoothie, and Mystic Mountain to name a few!)

Students designed their label, attached it, and then sculpted their paint splatter from model magic. Finally, they created their custom color by mixing shades of paint together. For example, what would happen if they added white or yellow to their color combination?

At the end of the project, all the tubes were combined to create the best color wheel on Earth!

Today is the last day of the school year! We hope everyone enjoys their summer break! We’ll see our Casa Families back on August 10th for the 2026-27 school year!

This is a friendly reminder for all Casa Families that tomorrow, Friday, June 5th, is the last day of the school year and will end with an Early Release for students.

As the end of the school year approaches, we are looking forward to celebrating a fantastic year with our annual Field Day festivities! K-5th will have Field Day tomorrow while 6th - 8th will participate on Friday, June 5th. Make sure to wear the color assigned to your grade on Field Day to show your school spirit!

Dear 8th grade families, we invite you to our 8th-grade Moving On Ceremony tomorrow evening at 6pm. We’re proud of our 8th grade scholars and wish them all the best as they move to their next stage of school. Thank you for being a special part of our Casa family!

After the recent success of our STEM Night with the Engineering Place at NC State, we are excited to host our own Casa Science Extravaganza tomorrow during the school day! This event is open to all Casa Families!
