🎉🧁WE’RE 20! 🧁🎉

What a way to celebrate 20 years! Today was filled with BIG smiles, lots of laughter, and so much fun! From our awesome DJ Bubble Party 🫧🎶 and special fire truck visit 🚒 to face painting, sweet treats, and goodies galore, our Goddard Palooza was one for the books!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who celebrated this special milestone with us! Here’s to 20 years of learning, growing, and making memories! 💙🎉

On Thursday, October 1st, some of our team had the privilege of attending Art for Hope, a special charity event honoring one of our own beloved former students, Mason Moore. ❤️

Mason’s health journey began in February 2023 with what seemed like a simple headache. Just days later, doctors discovered a tumor in his cerebellum. After emergency brain surgery, his family received the devastating diagnosis of medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Mason bravely endured 10 months of intense treatment, including radiation, chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, blood and platelet transfusions, and countless procedures at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Despite his incredible strength and courage, Mason gained his angel wings on November 6, 2023.

Art for Hope raises funds that directly supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Cure Starts Now. It was an incredible honor to be part of an evening that celebrates Mason’s life, honors his fight, and continues his legacy of hope. ❤️🎨
Mason, you will always be a part of our Goddard family. We will continue to remember you, love you, and fight for a cure in your honor.

Denim & Diamonds for Dolly!

Today we celebrated Denim & Diamonds to honor the one and only Dolly Parton! ✨ Our teachers and students showed out in all the denim, diamonds, and Dolly-inspired sparkle you could imagine! 💎👖✨

And what’s a Dolly celebration without a little music?! 🎶 We even had a special live performance of “Jolene” by Ms. Breyanna! 🎤

What a fun-filled day full of sparkle, smiles, music, laughter, and a whole lotta Dolly!  💖🎀💎✨

🌱✨Look what’s happening in our Garden!✨🌱

At Goddard, we take learning beyond the classroom! Our sensory garden gives children the opportunity to explore, discover, and connect with nature right outside their door.

From watching plants grow, collecting acorns to feed the squirrels , and exploring everything the garden has to offer, our little learners are letting their curiosity and imaginations run wild!

Because sometimes the best learning happens when little hands get to dig, discover, and explore.

✨FRIDAY PHOTO DUMP!✨

A little look at what we’ve been up to around Goddard lately! 🚀🌎💫

Our friends have been busy wondering about our planet through our Wonder of Learning curriculum! We’ve been creating planets, making Saturn’s rings, graphing our favorite planets, practicing addition with Number Knockout, working on ABAB patterns, creating shadow art with friends, singing songs and learning more about what makes Earth so special through reading! 🪐🎨📚

We’ve also been spending lots of time outside exploring, playing in the sand, enjoying ice sensory play, rolling balls, spotting helicopters, learning about sun safety, turning ribbons into shooting stars, and creating some pretty awesome space murals! 🌞🌠 And of course, we squeezed in our End of Summer Family Picnic along with some teacher celebrations!

Just another week full of learning, playing, exploring, and making memories! ✨

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
