Big shoutout to coaches Suzy Willemssen and Kevin Bednoski! 🥎🏆

Congratulations to on being voted the 2026 ATEC / NFCA Travel Ball National Coaching Staff of the Year!

Under the guidance of head coach (and NFCA Hall of Famer) Suzy Willemssen and assistant coach Kevin Bednoski, Virginia Glory had a truly unforgettable season:

• Championship Season: Captured the Tier II National Championship at The Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series.

• Elite Competition: Secured massive wins at Top Gun KC, Triple Crown P4, the Alliance Super Cup, and the Colorado Sparkler.

• Community Impact: Raised over $50,000 for Children’s Hospital with 100% of proceeds going to charity.

Virginia Glory continues to perfectly model its cornerstones: Competing, Development, College Fit, Servant Leadership, and Giving Back. They don't just develop players to reach their athletic potential; they help athletes find the right college fit and teach them to use softball to make a lasting impact on others.

We’re also proud of SixFour3’s ongoing partnership with the NFCA and grateful for the work they continue to do to recognize, support, and elevate coaches throughout the game. Honors like this are a great reminder of the impact great coaching has on athletes and our sport.

A well-deserved congratulations to Suzy, Kevin, and the entire Virginia Glory family on this incredible, peer-voted honor! The staff will be officially recognized at the NFCA Convention in Atlantic City this December.

While the off-season is for building, in-season training is where players maintain their edge. Putting in those evening cage reps during the season is crucial for making mid-week adjustments, keeping bat speed up, and staying sharp for long tournament weekends.

But let's be real—the grind is always better with a friends. Having a partner in the cage to push you, compete with you, and keep you accountable makes every swing count, which makes those post-workout smiles totally earned.

Grab a teammate/friend and get to work. Who is your favorite training partner? Tag them below! 👇
