Jones Dairy Elementary School

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming back some very special visitors! 🎓❤️

Our graduating seniors returned to walk the halls of Jones Dairy one last time before receiving their diplomas. As they made their way through the building in their caps and gowns, students and staff cheered them on, celebrating how far they have come and all they have accomplished.

It was a meaningful reminder that every graduate’s journey began right here, and we are so proud to have been a part of their story. We wish these seniors the very best as they take the next step toward their bright futures!

Our second graders put their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills on display during this year’s Economic Fair! 💵

Working alongside their families, students designed and created unique products at home, then brought them to school to sell. Students from all grades brought in quarters to purchase items. From handmade crafts to creative inventions, each item reflected the hard work, imagination, and dedication of our young business owners.

Through this hands-on experience, students learned valuable lessons about economics, budgeting, marketing, and customer service—all while having fun and building confidence.

We are so proud of our second graders and grateful to the families who supported them every step of the way. Thank you for helping make this event such a success.

💰Track 1 raised $725 that was donated to Northeast Backpack Buddies. 🎒

💰 Tracks 3 & 4 raised $1392.00 that was donated to Saving Grace Animals for Adoption. 🐈 🐕

Last week, JDE students showcased their curiosity, creativity, and hard work at our Science Fair! 🔬✨

From exciting experiments to innovative projects, our young scientists impressed us with their problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for learning. We are so proud of every student who participated and grateful to our families, teachers, and volunteers for supporting this special event. Special thanks to 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Tillery for organizing it all!

Congratulations to all of our scientists for a job well done! Your dedication and creativity made this year's Science Fair a huge success. 🌟

Our 1st and 2nd graders performed musical shows last night. 🎶 They were so excited and did such a great job. Thanks to the parents for coming out, it was a full house!

Dr. Sokar has been working with students for months and all the practice paid off. ⭐️

We had so many awesome entries for our fifth grade yearbook cover contest. Our theme this year is Building Our Memories: One Block at a Time. These will be used for the front and back covers as well as the title page. 

Congrats to Asmi, Eva, Victoria, Hudson, Addison and Paige.

Last week’s Art Show was a huge success! 🎨 Students were so excited to show off their work to friends and family. Thank you Mrs. Thompson and our parent volunteers for hanging all the amazing works of art. 🖼️ Here are a few photos of our colorful halls.

Tracks 1 and 3 had a blast last week during Water Day! 💦 Thank you Mrs. Pennington for organizing all the fun and Mrs. Thompson for providing the tunes. 🎶 Super special thanks to all our parent volunteers that came out to run the games. 💧 The VIP’s of the day may have been Rolesville HS Peppy Kids that brought such fun and energy and were not afraid to get soaked! 🪣

What an amazing week it has been at JDE! 🤩 With all tracks in, it gets kinda crazy around here. Add the book fair 📚, art fair 🎨 and water day 💦 to that and the kids were living their best lives. The adults on the other hand…🤯 😝 Thankfully we had our amazing PTA and parents to help us make it through. 👏 We are so thankful for all the meals 🍕 , yummy treats 🍫, sweet cards and gifts we received. ☺️ To keep it fun for the adults, we had our own super secret spirit week going on!
